Noah at D-Street

On Saturday, Disney Fine Artist Noah appeared at D-Street in Disneyland's Downtown Disney District for a day of Vinylmation fun. When the store opened in the morning, 24 of his unique 9" one-of-a-kinds -- called Motor Mouse Series -- were put on sale. From 10am - noon Noah hosted a Create-Your-Own Experience, where he gave pointers to Vinylmation fans interestid in designing their own blank figures. Then, beginning at 2pm he held a demonstration by airbrushing another five-foot-tall Vinylmation figure.

VinylNation member "JaredTheQuad" was lucky enough to snag one of Noah's 24 Motor Mouse customs and had the following pictures to share...

If any of you were lucky enough to pick up one of the twenty-four Customs, please take pictures and send them in. We'd love to feature them on the site, but we need your help!

A Look At D-Street

The Downtown Disney District at Disneyland has a brand new Vinylmation store called D-Street which held it's Grand Opening yesterday. VinylNation.net member "Super-Swiss" attended the opening and sent along the following pictures.

If you look closely at some of the banners and decorations around D-Street you will see original artwork that has not been released before now. For example...

Four of the 3" figures from Park #5 can be found on several of the banners, as well as...

Two 9" figures and a Walk / Don't Walk 9"/3" set from Urban #4.

Urban 3 & Cutesters Delayed

We have received word that both the Urban #3 and Cutesters Series have been delayed and will NOT be released at D-Street tomorrow. Urban #3 and Create Your Own color blanks are now in the Disneyland warehouse and will be available this week. Cutesters are not expected to arrive on Disneyland property until December 17th, and will go on sale very soon after.

Still no word on when Walt Disney World will receive the two series.

UPDATE: Disney is now saying that Urban #3 and Create Your Own color blanks will be available on the 17th in Disneyland, but Cutesters will not be in on time. There is a small chance they may be on-sale this weekend instead. We will keep you updated on the situation.

Even More Vinylmation Apparel

Disney has revealed to new shirts for the Vinylmation Apparel line. These two new shirts for women will be released December 15th at Disneyland's D-Street Store and shortly after in Walt Disney World. They will retail for $28.95.

D-Street Atrium & Breakdown

Today Disney revealed a picture of the new D-Street store's atrium, which opens in Disneyland's Downtown Disney on December 15th. With careful inspection you can get a sneak peak at some of the upcoming series that will be released in 2010. VinylNation has altered the following image to break it down for you.

Obviously the P4 and P5 represent Park #4 and Park #5, NBC represents the Nightmare Before Christmas Series slated for October and HM represents the Haunted Mansion figures. We have been told that the Haunted Mansion figures are undergoing a few changes and may be released differently than expected.

Also, in the larger picture you will see designs with rings around them. Look closely and you will see Orange rings around a Cheetah and Koala from an upcoming Animal Series designed by Dan Howard. Blue rings mark two of the upcoming figures from Park #5, while Grey rings mark Squiddy, Blue Lava Lamp and another design from Urban #5. Finally, Green marks what we believe is the Candy Cane design from Holiday #2. You will also notice a Yellow ring around Donald Duck, which is the first time this design is being shown. We are uncertain as to where Donald Duck will be released.

Kustom Kulture Motor Mouse Series

On December 19th, the D Street store in Disneyland Resort's Downtown Disney District will play host to a special day with Disney Fine Artist Noah. From 10AM - Noon, Noah will be on hand to host the Create Your Own Vinylmation Experience where he will be teaching Vinylmation creation techniques.

Then, from 2PM - 3PM Noah will be doing a demonstration on a 5' tall blank Vinylmation. Following the demonstration he will be signing autographs for those in attendance.

The biggest news of the day relates to a brand new limited release series called Kustom Kulture Motor Mouse Series that Noah has created for this event. He has customized 24 9" figures that are each LE 1. They will be packaged in a Vinylmation construction lunchbox and will sell for $495 (plus tax) as soon as the store opens.

Here is Disney's official announcement...

On December 19th, be sure to swing by D Street in Downtown Disney. As part of the opening of this new urban inspired location we will introduce a Vinylmation special release Kustom Kulture Motor Mouse Series. Only 24 unique one-of-a-kind 9" Vinylmation figures will be released. Each work is Kustom Pinstriped and is flat black to resemble kustom hot rods in true Americana fashion. Each unique work is signed and numbered by the artist and is offered in a Kustom package of a construction lunchbox. These rare collectible figures will be available for $495, plus tax, as soon as the store opens on the 19th.

In addition, from 10 - 12 Noon, there will be a Create Your Own Vinylmation experience, where I'll be working with kids and kids at heart, teaching them how to create designs, etc... on their vinyl figures. Then from 2 - 3, Noah will be doing an artist demonstration on a 5 ft. Vinylmation Mickey Mouse, similar to what he did for D23. Following the artist demo, be sure to stop in and say hello as Noah will be signing the one-of-a-kind Vinylmation figures, among other items.

Urban #3 and Cutesters Release Date

Disney has announced the release of Urban #3 and Cutesters. Both series will first be available at Disneyland Resort on December 15, and will arrive at Walt Disney World Resort shortly after. The 9" Urban figures will not be available at either resort until January.

Here is the official announcement:
As part of the grand opening festivities of the new D-Street shopping location at Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort there will be a release of two anticipated Vinylmation collections!

The 3" Vinylmation Urban #3 figures and Vinylmation Cutesters will make their debut on December 15 at the Disneyland Resort. Exact release dates for Walt Disney World will be announced soon, but we anticipate them being available shortly after the Disneyland release. The Vinylmation Urban #3 9" figures will be available at both resorts in January 2010.

Due to the busy holiday schedule, there will not be an artist signing event for Urban #3 and Cutesters in December. An artist signing is currently planned around the time of release of the Urban #3 9" figures in January. Keep checking the blog for further details.

As you can see, December is shaping up to be the biggest month for Vinylmation yet.
