Unfortunately it's true. A few weeks ago we briefly reported that a Food & Wine Festival Vinylmation was being rushed into production to have available for 2009, but it turns out that the vinyl wouldn't be ready until the event was almost over. Earlier in the year we originally reported that the vinyl -- along with Candy Corn -- would actually be released in 2010. The Candy Corn vinyl just barely arrived in time for the 2009 Halloween season, but the Food & Wine Festival unfortunately fell short and will not be released until next year's event.

The Vinylmation "plushes" we first revealed earlier this year are now on sale in Disneyland Resort. The plushes retail at $19.95 and are similar in size to the 9" vinyls. The head and arms are moveable just like the vinyl figures.

The term "plushes" might be a little misleading when referring to this new product. While similar to plush animals in the sense that they are stuffed with cotton or another soft material, the outside of the Vinylmation stuffed toys is a soft vinyl and does not have the typical furry, velvet or cloth texture.

Currently there are four designs on sale and we've been told that only a select few will be made into stuffed toy form. The current selection give you the choice of Park #1's Balloon (Chaser), Teacups, ELP Mickey and Monorail Red. No word on when they will be released in Walt Disney World or New York's World of Disney.

- 'Oh, Mickey!' currently has four original cartoony design that children will love.

The Muppets Series #1
The Muppets Series #1 has officially been finalized. Back in What's To Come #1 we first revealed the potential list. On that list was a 'Disney Tourist Kermit'. The idea is essentially Kermit in a Muppet*Vision shirt, Mickey Mouse ears hat, and purple 3D glasses. That design is no where to be found on the concept art poster, so it may have been moved to the Chaser position. There is a possibility it may have been moved to The Muppets Series #2 where, if plans haven't changed, he will join Gonzo.

Disney Cruise Lines

Pin Trading Anniversary

This 9"/3" set celebrates the 10th Anniversary of Pin Trading.
The 3" is designed to look like a pin where the back is gold and has a "Mickey rubber backer" on it.

Space Mountain 35th Anniversay will arrive in January to commemorate the classic attraction opening on January 15, 1975.

Back in What's To Come #3 we first revealed blank figures coming in boxes. They were expected to arrive before the end of Summer, but we are now hearing they will arrive sometime before 2009 is over.
A red blank was revealed at the D23 Expo and there will be a variety
of other colors available once they are released.

Also, as reported back on August 14th, Noah has painted a 5' piece that will be sold in an auction.

There were also some rumors of a 3" price increase from $9.95 to $12.95 stemming from what turned out to be a misprint in a Cast Member publication that mistakenly listed the higher price tag. We can confirm that there will not be a price increase and the figures remain at $9.95.

UPDATE: The Artist Signing has been scheduled for September 18th from 5pm-7pm at Walt Disney World's Art of Disney located in Downtown Disney Marketplace.
