Overall I've eaten at just about every eatery in World Showcase. Usually things turn out very good and the only problem we ever had was 3 years ago in Italy. We waited until 8 for a 7:15 reservation, the food came out cold, We told them we had a wheelchair user in our party and then they tried to seat us where she couldn't access. Overall it was horrible. I understand that since that time it has changed hands and I sincerely hope that it is a better place to eat.

Ehh, I've eaten there since the change. And I dont really remember the food, but I remember feeling EXTREMELY rushed and that our waiter was annoyed to have to deal with us (it's not like we're that difficult...there's only 3 of us) It definitely wasnt the best experience.

I keep hearing everyone rave about this "cheese soup." I've never eaten there. What's the deal? Is it just melted cheese or is there other stuff in it?

They actually sell it during Food & Wine at the little stand in front of Canada.

Its just REALLY good cheese soup. Not too thin, not too thick. Just the right amount of cheesiness.

OMG I'm getting so hungry just thinking about it!

We were in Epcot in December and was trying for attempt #2 at drinking around the world. We started in Mexico and didn't make it any farther. They have a little tequila bar inside the pavilion that is a lot of fun! They serve appetizers there too...they were really yummy! Highly recommend it!

If we make it to WDW in February like we plan, then I definitely want to try to eat someplace in the WS. I've only done quick-service and want to try a sit-down place.

Well, I remember you didnt like the Morocco suggestion (). France is definitely one of the best. Norway is good too

(I'm so used to just saying them by country, that I honestly rarely know the actual names of the restaurants)

I heard the buffet one in Germany is delish. Eventually I'd like to have eaten at every table service restaurant in World Showcase.

Le Cellier will be my first! Next should be Rose and Crown.

That's a fun goal! (I've managed to eat at almost all the table services in WDW but...I think 10 of them) We started working on that after we managed to stay in all the resorts (minus the Tree Houses)

Oh gosh. That's such a hard question.
Cítricos is definitely at the top. Veal Shank (Although the tiny fork they give you for the bone marrow ...not so much)
Jiko is another good one. (Bread Basket = 4 different great breads)
Marrakesh in Morocco is great (one, you can always get in there. two, the food is great too)
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Norway), I had some strange green pasta thing, but I remember really liking it
Chefs de France: Two Words: Cheese Plate (I love cheese so I always get the cheese platter whenever there's one on the menu)

There are so many that are good. I could be here all day.

My biggest problem is that my husband is really picky. He eats pasta, pizza, burgers, salsa, chicken, snow crab legs (only seafood he'll eat) and chicken/sausage/andoullie gumbo. He doesn't even eat potatoes unless it's french fries or chips!

My husband is really picky too! And has a seafood allergy. We did eat at Nine Dragons (China) this past December...he really liked it...he got the honey sesame chicken. It was a bit pricy, but at that point we were happy to be off of our feet for a bit.

That's not a bad idea actually. He does like Chinese. We both LOVE the Yak & Yeti in AK and even the quick service that's right there too. (Cheaper and good food) We both like Mexican too, but I've heard a lot of mixed reviews about the sit-down there.

Growing up around the city, we both really like spicey food. So, I don't know if I'd be willing to try France or UK. I've heard the food's bland (No offense to anyone in those countries. I'm talking about the Pavillion food, not the actual country)

Same. I always hear it compared to Mexican TV dinners which is scary considering the prices.

I'd still like to give it a shot one day though just so I can see for myself.

Well France, most people go for the Creme Brulee. But I do agree with you about UK. It's kinda boring.

China, is okay. But I'm also particular about my Chinese food I should probably go back again and get something other than Beef and Broccoli.

It's honestly, been YEARS since I went to Mexico so I dont know. Plus, I dont like Mexico food so dont listen to my opinion on that

Ahh speaking if eating in epcot mexico (San Angel Inn Restaurant *inside )is giving me heart burn again , I came to analogy that the lighting in there is dark for a reason. They don't want you to see what you are eating. I had it once and that was enough. My stomach felt violated. The outside food wasn't that bad, we will share something from there as a snack.

France (Chefs de France) wasn't bad and they seemed to push you out. Could have just been our waiter, but that's the feeling we got from him. But there cream brulee was tasty. If i can't in to other places I would easily go back. One place we did not get to go to is the France bakery shop (Boulangerie Patisserie). Every time we went back there is was so packed  So maybe next time

My favorite place in epcot is in Canada, Le Cellier, I just love their cheese soup & breadsticks. The wife likes the breadsticks but thinks the soup is a tad acidic * heads up. And I haven't had a bad steak there the 8+ times we have been there. For their desserts i love the maple cream brulee. The Chocolate Whiskey Cake is good also, used to be better they changed up the whiskey they use for this.

Well that's enough food talk for now, I'll write some more a bit later, plus I have tons of pictures of the food so I'll have to post those also. I ust have to find what computer i put them on

But i agree 100% with HitchHikingGhostFangirl, Each country is definitely worth trying at least once, even mexico

Also everyone needs to do drink around the world once, bit pricey but still fun.

I actually agree with you! They serve some really weird things in the Rose and Crown. It's pretty much pie, pie, pie and fish and chips. Pie is very much a northern UK thing, like english chips and gravy . If you served that menu over here you'd close down very quickly because no-one would eat there!

Personally I think the only thing keeping the Rose and Crown popular is the view for Illuminations.

What's a food thread without pictures

France (Chefs de France) The steak looks really rare in the pic, but was actually pink in person, and the creme brulee was quite tasty

Canada (Le Cellier steakhouse) First Up Cheese Soup, and then there are all the steaks they offer and prim rib (has the horseradish cream sauce)My favority is the New York Strip, the kansas city stip w/ coffee rub (now gone ) Desserts Chocolate-on-Chocolate Whiskey Cake (ask for exrta whiskey sauce in a dish, great for pouring extra on), Choclate Moose (now longer offered =( good, but rich), Maple Creme Brulee (yum) , the lady also had a sorbet but i can't find any pictures.

    Tokyo Dining - Yummy
    Biergarten - It was okay
Les Chefs de France - I thought it was great and my favorite of the three sit down dinners I have eaten there.
