    DDuck4Life New Collectors Collection

My new and ever growing collection. I just started collecting and all of these came from this past weekends trip, except for the Spectacle of Dancing Lights. My shelf does not have room for all the Vinyls now. I had to take some other things off the shelf so all the Vinyls could fit. I'll have to get some more shelves or start spreading them around the house. I kind of like them all in one spot, so we will have to see.

    Update
My current Vinyl collection. My shelf space has reached it's limit. You can't even see most of them now.

    Current Project
So as you can tell my shelves are overflowing. And I'm not really utilizing the wall space.

I found a shadow box at Hobby Lobby.

I wasn't crazy about the white background but I was sold on the door front. Really like the convenience of being able to just open the display up and change out the Vinyls easily.

After seeing Qsk50 displays I decided to steal, I mean borrow her design.

Some wood trim cut for the shelves and support pieces to hold the shelves.

Painted them black to match the shadow box.

A little glue to hold the supports in place.

    Slip the shelves into place.
This is the point I was able to get to before I had to leave for work

I'll be able to finish all the little touch ups and install the last shelf once I get back from my 2 weeks hitch. So far so good. I think it is coming out nicely and will give my Vinyls some breathing room.

I plan on moving the Small Square Box up to fit this new one underneath and next to the bigger one.

    Update:
    Shelf is finished

    My current set up.

Even after adding this new Shadow Box my collection is still overflowing. This should hold me off for a little while. I'm already looking towards the next project to be able to fit more Vinyls.

I managed to leave the parks with no duplicates due to lots, and lots of trading. throughout the 2 1/2 days we were there I must have went through 5 Big Al's. I was really tired of getting that one. I had to stop blind trading the last day because of it.

OMG, it's the World's Fair Pelican!!!! I remember my dad having a hat or shirt or something with him on it when I was little. We got pictures of myself and my two brothers (BlakeMP and BigAl_PT) there back when I was still in a stroller.

Great collection!!! (I'm diggin' the Saints merch)

I just bought a maternity Saints shirt this past weekend since I don't fit any of my other saints stuff anymore. Trying to make it to trainning camp one day if I can take the heat.

Nice pick up on the shirt. You will need something to wear on Sundays. I think my wife is just going to start wearing my Saints stuff if she can't fit into hers during the season. She is so happy that she will be on Maternity leave the second half of the season she won't miss any of those games since right now she has to work every other weekend she will miss some games. Good luck on making a training camp. If it's not too hot those can be fun, also a good place to get some saints autographs and pictures.

Great collection. I love how it is intermixed with the Saints gear. My collection shares space with my Steelers knickknacks.

Thanks! My wife only gives me a small space for most of my collectibles that she doesn't care for so they all have to fit in that area. She does like some of the Vinyls so I could put them other places around the house but I kind of like having them all in one place.

Yep, I got the SI package. I couldn't resist, you never know when it will happen again so I had to go all out and spend the money. It's nice to see some LA people on the boards and recognize the worlds fair pelican. It's actually a wooden puzzle. The pieces come apart like a puzzle. It's something I've had since I was born.

I got lucky with the Muppets getting my favorites right away.

Right now they still fit on the shelf with my other addictions, but it's looking like the Vinyls will soon over take this shelf and have to move on to their own display.

Love your dispaly, DDuck4Life! It looks so great so far! Sorry if this is a silly question, but that donald figure next to the pluto sweater, is that a custom? It looks sort of like those dunny cyo figures, so I wasn't sure. It looks very professional, so if it is a custom, then awesome job and if not it's still a very cool figure!

Thanks, The Donald is actually a stuffed plush figure that came in cereal boxes. Unfortunately I don't have near the artistic talent to be able to design and implement a custom that would turn out remotely good. If I did I would have custom Donald stuff all over the place. So at this point I'm stuck buying my Donald items.

Oh he is still very cool tho! I know what you mean- I wish I had enough artistic ability to make some of my vinyl ideas come true. But for now, I guess I'll just keep trying to pressure Disney to make the characters and ideas I want in my collection to come to life

My shelves are overflowing. I don't think I can fit anymore. I still have more coming in the mail and some are not even displayed yet. Good thing I just picked up a new shadow box shelf to help hold a lot of my Vinyls. I'm going to take the Square box down and move that one somewhere else on the wall. The new shadow box will go where the big Square is now.

The next update will show the new shadow box set up. Hopefully I can get to that project soon, my Vinyls need it.
