eeek i just read your rant..i actually had a bad experience at dstreet with a male employee too...it was disappointing since most of the time i always have very pleasant experiences with cast members.
in any case, i bought something but i didnt need the bag..so i gave the bag back along with the receipt. now i want to return or exchange and not sure how to go about it..thats the question i have to ask them when i go to dstreet. ugh if not i guess ill sell it on ebay to get my money back. grrrrr
hate to tell you but you made your first mistake by giving them back the receipt, never do that that is your only proof that you #1 bought it there, #2 when you bought it, (if they have a 30,60 or whatevery day return policy) #3 proof that you paid for it and it wasn't stolen goods. Sorry you kinda did yourself in. Unless you are a person that shops there a lot and knows a sales person that can say I know this person, hate to say yours pretty out in the cold most likely. Good luck.
I have a gift receipt though...that's proof right? =\

gift receipt works, and yes you can return stuff like a normal store there. however, i think the exchange policy on vinyls is different than anything else sold in the store. so if you are exchanging vinyls, you will have to ask someone working what their exact policy is.
I think only the blind boxes have a no return/exchange policy.
- Vinylmation is a serious addiction
I heard you can also go to a Disney Store to make returns. They aren't as strict and sometimes they dont know what they are doing. I think the blind boxes cannot be returned anywhere. The windowed 3" and 9" can be returned but you need a manager approval(from what I am told). All of their clothing and other non-vinylmation items can be returned no problem.
btw, I think if you dont have your receit, if you used your credit card they can return it to the card.
Went to disneyland and dstreet yesterday purchased what i thought would be the toad tin, but realized it was a orange bird tin. Didnt open the foil package just the tin. Have receipt hopefully they will give me the correct tin that i had originally purchased...think they will do the return????
Yes, as long as you have the receipt you should be fine. Plus, you didn't even open the foil, so you definitely should be fine. It was their mistake in the first place so don't worry, I don't think you'll have a problem returning and getting the one you actually wanted. From what I've seen, Dstreet is pretty good about fixing their mistakes.
I exchanged my 9' vinylmation at d street because I got a defective one and they just exchanged it for another one, no questions asked no receipt required.
