mbo516: Remember the part after the Hulk roared and woke up Iron Man and he started talking about that "Shawarma" diner he wanted to try out?
The 2nd scene shows them at the Shawarma place eating at one table..

I meant that there's never been a 2nd scene. There was always just 1 which is why I would have left if I was by myself

SO EXCITED!!!! Wonder how long we'll have to wait for it since there are 2 Marvel movies in 2013 and 1 already set for 2014 and speculation of several other spin offs and new franchises. 2015 seems so far away but I feel like it might take that long...but hopefully not any longer...

I hope the sequel is just as good if not even better since there's already talk that with everything Marvel has planned or is in the talks of producing, they might not give it 110%. But first things first, Robert Downey Jr needs to sign an extended contract. I can't see anyone else playing Iron Man.

I don't think they'd make one without everyone in the cast returning. Too much has been invested in those characters at this point considering how many movies they have each signed onto thus far. There's NO way they'd replace RDJ; he's the most popular Avenger and his Iron Man movies have made the most of any of the individual Avenger movies. I know they replaced Hulk, but he was definitely the easiest of any of them to replace, and now that The Avengers has been made, I see any subsequent Hulk movie attached to this franchise (if there ever is one) starring Mark Ruffalo.

Gah! I don't know why I torture myself reading this thread knowing I'm not going to be able to watch the movie for at least another week and a half.

Even though I want the movie NOW, I really don't want it before 2015. For a couple of reasons; they need to do the sequels of the other films first to build on the characters more and if they did try for a 2014 release, I honestly don't think that's enough time to do a decent job especially because of the other films. It would also be better if it has the summer alone and doesn't have to fight against it's own movies (which is what it'd do in 2014 against Captain America 2)

I'd rather wait another year than have it be rushed and it be a disappointment.

I totally agree. I don't see this happening before 2015, and I think that's the best option they have. Iron Man 3, Thor 2, and Captain America 2 will have to hold us over til then (and the Blu-ray of The Avengers will do, too )

Can I just say that I *might* have been overcome by how many very good looking guys they have on the Avengers? (Minus Thor, I won't take it away from him, but he's really... weird )

Captain America and Bruce Banner were Pretty, but Clint and Iron Man were gorgeous

BTW, I finally understand Ghost Girl. Loki is awesome

Thor's my favorite - I just have to look past the long hair. Loki's a VERY close second though. Yeah, this movie is stacked for us females, haha.

It's no secret that I love Mr. Clint... so why haven't they announced a Hawkeye & Black Widow Movie?? I liked her a WHOLE lot more in this one than in Iron Man 2. She had no back story whatsoever in Iron Man. But they finally gave her a bit of history in this one. Their movie could help both their story lines. Sheesh

And it wouldn't hurt to see more of him:

I hope War Machine is in the next one. I read somewhere that in an interview with Don Cheadle, he mentioned that he's signed on for Iron Man 3, a possible spin-off and an Avengers movie.

It's "reportedly" in "discussion" now that Avengers did so well. I read on a fairly reliable movie site that they were waiting until they saw the figures for this movie before even discussing it. I think we'll see a Hawkeye/Widow movie, but IMO it prob won't be until after Avengers 2, they've got their hands full at the moment with IM3, T2 and CA2.

I also was late to the party and just saw it this weekend. All I can say is "excellent". I knew it was going to be good, but it went way beyond. Not a dull moment IMO. I might even go see it again before it leaves theaters. The comedy, one liners, were hilarious!

Excited for a sequel and even though Loki is one of my favorite parts of this avenger's movie but I know the avengers is about the avengers and not the villain. at least, Loki will return in Thor 2. Tom Hiddelston did a wonderful job of making Loki extremely likable, at least to me. ;)

Maybe it was because I saw it almost two months after it came out but I didn't think the Avengers was the most amazing movie ever.
