Silly Symphony Swings open

According to the OC Register the Silly Symphony Swings opened yesterday. Anybody actually go and ride on them? Personally, I'm glad to hear they're open because it's just one more step towards the complete park overhaul being completed and I can't wait to see it all done. On the other hand I will never ever ride it because it would make me horribly ill. When I was a kid I never thought of 30 as being old; but now that I actually am 30, I feel like a doddering old man when I even catch sight of a ride like that, let alone try to get on it.

it is open. they have some tandem swings for parents and kids to ride together.

Is this ride terrifying? The concept art makes this look like you're flying in circles at high speed going up and down... if so, it'll make me sick...

The ride is very cool! I was surprised to find it open yesterday when I went! Love the new them, the underneath gives a great view of paradise bay! The ride is a little more scary since there isn't a big orange surrounding you so that was interesting but overall a great change from the orange stinger!

Personally...I'm not ENTIRELY sure about why Disney spent all the moolah they did re-doing this ride. I think the tandem seats are a cool idea, but..when it comes down to it...the ride is just the round and round swing ride that is at the county/state fair every year. It's scary because it doesn't seem like there's any way you could NOT come flying off there at some point (and who knows where you would land!). Band concert is a GREAT theme, don't get me wrong, and it makes total sense as the swing ride, but the ride itself should stay...pretty much the same. Once you go on it and can say that you've been...there's really no reason to go again...now...Mulholland Madness on the other hand...

The last time i went to DCA, I walked past the ride and I was very unimpressed. I miss the orange stinger

I like the orange stinger but once they took out the bees for seats and replaced them with those boring swing chairs I was done with the ride!

I love this ride. I never rode it when it was the orange stinger so I cant compare the new version to the old version. I guess that meansi won't be going on the ride with disneylover1955 anytimesoon.

Oh I like Silly Symphony Swings! I enjoy the view you get from being on the platform, so we will definitely be riding it every time we go to California Adventures!

I just rode this for the first time a few days ago... gotta tell ya it was pretty fun! On the other hand, my wife was holding on for dear life!

OMG...my wife and I love this thing. I think this was a great addition to DCA. This is a must ride whenever we go to the park.

I like the new version of the ride much better. It fits better in Paradise Pier. I always thought that orange was weird

I rode them with my daughter, the concept is neat but the ride is short, but it goes pretty fast. A enjoyable ride for the kiddies and if you like the music from that cartoon.
