I posted a thread earlier today and it was taken down. I'm not sure why, but an email explaining why would help a lot so as not to repeat my mistakes in the future.

Yes, of course you can.

It's not necessary to ask permission before posting a new thread. If you did a basic search and didn't find what you were looking for, by all means feel free to post. We have great members here who will point you in the right direction if you need help finding a thread. If a thread you started is later merged it is not anything to worry about, it's all part of keeping the forums as neat and tidy as possible.

But I did not see the answer there. A Variant is a variation of a common design in a Blind Box series. They are more rare than the common designs they are based on. No actual ratio fo them has ever been divulged by Disney.

what is a variant

It is a variation of a regular vinyl that is more rare than a regular vinyl. So for example the star wars chaser is obi wan but the variant for that figure is a ghost (clear blue) obi wan. It seems that most of the time the variants are just different colors. Other times the design is slightly different

D St. is a store that carries more Vinyls then any other retail store at WDW, they also sell "Urban" clothing and accessories. Hope this helps!

I just bought my first Vinymation (the #6 park series, DHS Clapboard) yesterday and there wasn't a collector's card inside. Does this happen often, missing collector's cards? Or does the park #6 series not come with collector's cards? Thank you for reading and any effort put into this question

artist cards are no longer produced. park 6 was the first park series to not have artist cards.

i don't think there is one specifically for that question...at least i don't remember seeing one. did a quick search and there were threads for "how many chasers have you blind boxed?" and people celebrating their own first chaser (i.e. member 1: i got iasw park 3, then everyone else: congrats!) i think it would be a great thread.

Since Park 4, the Park, Urban, and Animation series have featured combo packs, with one vinylmation in a clear box on top, and a blind box from that series attached underneath. The topper refers to the vinylmation in the clear box on top. So the Park 5 topper was Sorcerer Mickey. Like so...



So far the Park toppers have been Mickeys, the Urban toppers have been Tonal/Monochromatically colored Mickeys, and the Animation toppers were Simba and Jiminy

More rare, no. They are widely available when they are released. More expensive, yes. The blind box + combo topper cost is $24.95 - $26.95, whereas a normal blind box is $9.95 - $12.95. You cannot buy a combo topper on its own.

You could start your own collection thread if you don't already have one. I know some people post artistic shots of their vinyls in their own threads there. However, I believe there is a general vinyl photo thread somewhere. I'm sure someone else knows.
