New Roller Coaster

I was in line for TOT and right before you go into the hotel I looked through the woods straight back and saw a small blue roller coaster being built. Anybody know anything else about it?

well theres the much rumored monsters inc. coaster... but... no...

i don't recal there being woods around TOT...

maybe you could give more details about what you saw? maybe it was back towards Fantasmic?

wait yeah, if you're talking about when you're on the balcony about to go into the lobby, you should be looking towards fantasmic so maybe thats what you saw, or it could have been another structure outside of the park but if there was a coaster being built i think everyone would know by now

Its most definitely not a Monsters Inc coaster.

I HIGHLY doubt its a ride of any kind.

yeah the pictures you posted are of fantasmic, have you seen the show? its the structure above you where the speakers and lights hang

and when they build the monsters inc coaster (which will probably be a bit) they'll probably be building over by pixar place where narnia or the backlot are

Ok, I havent seen the show in probably 8 yrs so I dont remember it really well. That does make sense, I've just never seen that much of the structure visible so I thought it might be something new and the part facing me looked like a lift hill for a coaster. My bad , but hey, at least we do know a new roller coaster is coming to DHS late next year

the monsters inc coaster is gonna be a hanging coaster so even if it was a coaster structure, it doesnt look like a hanging track. nd also, someone said its gonna be a bit. a couple of weeks ago, there were imagineers outside of the building it is supposed to go in so hopefully itll be soon! nd the imagineers also had blueprints w/ them

Awesome! I can't wait to see it started to be built then. It's about time Disney got a new coaster, hopefully it'll be good.

I hope it's not just a rumor, the article got me really excited about it. It sounds like an awesome addition to pixar place after toy story was such a let down..

when i was in wdw last august i was talking to my friend (then was a cast member) and she said that if there was to be a monsters inc. coaster it would go right behind backlot tour because there is a massive amount of space back there. she said she was pretty sure of that and it wasn't a rumor

This has been a rumor many years. The crane and stuff behind Tower of Terror was/is stuff to help with the refurb of the Hollywood Tower Hotel. Monsters Inc ride isn't happening anytime soon people

I agree DHS could use another coaster. With Star Tours 2.0, though, I'm guessing it may be a while. I would think Epcot is probably next for a major attraction.

My wife and I have been saying it would only be a mtter of time before an attraction was made based off that portion of the movie, it only makes sense. Glad to see it's closer than we thought.

when we were there in may we iver heard some cast members mentioning to a guest who was asking about it that they werent allow to say but did make a joke regarding it looking monsterous
