Has anyone taken their 9" to the parks and have the characters sign it? Just wondering if you did how it worked out for you. Thanks.

This seems to be pretty popular thing to do actually. Much cooler than an autograph book, but I've never done it personally.
Here's a good example of how it would turn out though: http://wdwdailynews.com/2009/07/25/a...mation-mickey/

It's a fantastic idea. If I ever manage to get out there I definitely want to do it. (Even though my girlfriend will most likely laugh at a 31-year-old man trying to get Mickey Mouse to write his name on a vinyl version of himself...)
When you get them to sign, what sort of pen do you use? I imagine a Sharpie would work well.

Hmmm....good point. Maybe I should wait until I have kids to do this. That way I can get them to get the autographs and I can "hold" their figure on my display shelf for "safe keeping."
I've heard those "clickable" Sharpies are really good for the characters, that way they are not fumbling with caps. (Even thought they ask you to uncap them before getting up there. I'm sure some people don't listen.)

You're gonna be a swell mom.
I've heard that too (probably on the same ITM podcast you did), but what I really meant was, what kind of pen is best to write on the vinyl itself. I've signed a few of the 9" blanks. People do it but not as often as you'd think. Probably because the figure is 40 bucks a pop? yeaaa.

I like the little notes as much as I like the character autographs because this even fills up more of the space on the vinyl and makes it more colorful.
The CM name tag is awesome too - there's so many customs that came to mind when I saw that on there...![]()
Thanks guys! I'm just a little upset nobody signed the stomach area....it's so blank but I think people were afraid to sign over the buttons thinking it would be difficult
