i'm probably the odd one out, but i LOVE that woman on the disney resort tv's! i think her name is stacey? i have that channel on constantly whenever i'm there! she annoys me at times, yet i can't get enough of it lol...

Saw this posted on WDW facebook's page. I LOVE the artwork in the Check-In Hallway! We probably won't stay here until after we have kids but I can't wait to go walk around the resort and check everything out. I'm curious as to how the underwater sound system works - if you're underwater and talk, does anyone else who's underwater hear you too??

AHHH Thank you so much for posting that video!!! The nemo stuff looks great! I was hoping they might do something cooler with the pool. But I love the artwork and I love the scenery and stuff!

Just watched the video and desperately want to stay there! However, since the only rooms that will be available when I'm going are the family suites I'll just have to make do with walking across the bridge from Pop

I agree - with the exception of the underwater sound system (and however that works) - I feel like they could've done so much more with the pool. It is Nemo after all, I was expecting a coral reef feel to it. Or some cool artwork in it.

I'm excited to see what the Cars area looks like too. Can't wait for that to be completed. Hopefully one day we'll get to stay there.

this resort looks pretty cool, though the rooms themselves still look a bit too busy to me. however, i really wanna try the food court.

We are going to have a look around next week, might stay there instead of at the port Orleans when we hopefully go again next October. It really just depends on how far it is from the parks, we stayed at the all star movies before and it used to take us forever to get anywhere as the Disney buses were always so busy!

I just received an email from Disney Movie Rewards about their deal for staying there using points. The interesting thing that it stated is the opening dates for the following sections:

Cars Family Suites
Opening June 18, 2012

Opening August 10, 2012

The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms

Only the Little Mermaid section will have standard rooms. The other 3 sections will only have family suites (unfortunately). I wanted to stay in the Cars rooms too

I just checked online for the Fall - the price is comparative a room at some Moderates...and would be a MUCH bigger room (and THEMED!). The October 5 day vacation I checked was $1305 for Port Orleans and only $1524 for 5 nights in ANY Family Themed room...So only $50 a night more!

Yes, it is only $600 for Little Mermaid or other All Star, so it does cost more, but not way more than Moderates...so go for it! I know we will....its only an extra case of VM's or 2!

I was lucky enough to be among the first guests when the resort opened I stayed opening day and absolutely loved the Nemo room! The room was a really nice size. My boyfriend and I hate staying at hotels that have the 2 queen beds but no couch...we don't always want to sit on beds so having a separate living area was a really nice. The room was so colorful and I just couldn't stop smiling, it was so fun! Here are some pictures I took of our room







The first two pictures are of the nemo room and the last picture was taken in the lobby, it was full of sketches and amazing art featuring nemo, little mermaid, lion king, and cars of course.

We loved the hotel we are staying Thursday-Saturday of this week! I just had to stay in the cars room I will take more pictures and post them

I got a pin from Disney to stay and test out resort but for some reason the pricing for me ( no kids ) doesn't workout, I'd rather stay at dolphin or moderate.
For those staying at the AOAR let us know how the trading goes! New resort new mystery box right?

They have a 15 slot trade box and a small clear box...we didn't find anything while we were there but maybe this week we will have better luck I'll take some pictures of the store and where to trade, vinyl display, etc.

We don't have any kids yet either...that's why we went and enjoyed it lol once we have kids I'm sure the experience will be a little different.
