Just wanted to post this neat Disney Blog info I read today..its all about the Barber shop on Main street in Magic Kingdom..it even has a great video showing and telling you the story behind it

Both of my boys got their 1st hair cuts there! We were even lucky enough to have a photopass person with us for my younger sons. She got some great pictures! And they were all wonderful! The Dapper Dans even stopped in and sang! We now make it a point to go on our first day every time we visit!

Just saw this, my son got his 1st haircut on his first WDW last November too! The guy in the video - Michal is the one who did his. He's been there for quite awhile! He was so nice and patient with our son! Here's some pics. Our son was Eeyore for the morning because we were at Winnie the Pooh's character breakfast at Crystal Palace.

We've gotten our sons haircut there twice and our daughters once. We've never had an appointment. The first time we went they weren't doing appointments. We just got the kids cuts done in November and they had a lot of appointments while we were there. In fact they tried to put an appointment in between our kids after telling us the kids could go one after the other.

So my suggestion is yes make an appointment. Sometimes just the walk-ins will keep you waiting an hour. They will always slide the appointments in first even if a walk-in came in first. I think the appointments were a good idea for them to implement, but it definitely causes havoc on the CM's since most people don't know you can do that and just walk-in.

If you've never been in the shop it's not big at all, but they do a great job with the kids .

I would make an appointment. That's what we did for my son's first haircut. See if you can get Ms. Penny, she rocks!

I don't think so. I think it's only haircuts. I'm trying to remember, but I don't recall seeing any razors in the shop.
