Expedition Everest Challenge

Just wondering if anyone on here is doing this?! I am doing this as a team with my husband and had heard from last years event that its pretty fun.

Its a 5k with a little twist..

Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Night - NEW DATE

Expedition Everest™ Challenge, a race adventure with bite, is coming June 12, 2010 to Disney's Endurance Series. Just after sunset, teams of two take on the exotic terrain of Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park in a fun, competitive 5K adventure run with obstacles followed by a scavenger hunt. The reward for completing the challenge is an exclusive after-hours party at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. If you have what it takes to conquer this challenge, then find a teammate and join the trek! The challenge and the party will double your fun! If no one will brave this adventure with you, then sign up for the solo trek.

Also after the event there is a private party for all runners and their family inside the animal kingdom

I'd love to do this (not running or anything silly like that) but the scavenger hunt sounds like great fun! I won't be there though. Have fun on my behalf!

man wish i could get some vacation time sounds like a blast and a good time to give my nike lunarflys+ a good work out. would do it with my gf also but doc says she isnt allowed to run.

Wow, I hadn't heard about this event! I'll have to think about it now though - I'm currently training for the Inaugural Wine and Dine Half Marathon, so a 5k wouldn't be a bad tune up.
