that is going to be awesome i cant wait to watch that
i loved it! the first time, we came late on a day where there was a lot of people so we were on the back. I couldn't see the little movies they were showing. the 2nd time, we were in the wet zone in the red area. The wet zone you dont get soaked, but mist eventually accumulates! I would love to be able to watch it in the dining area! seems like the perfect viewing spot!
http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blo...-performances/It’s time for “World of Color” to take a bow.
The hit show celebrates a big milestone tonight – its 500th performance at Disney California Adventure park. Thank you to the more than two million guests who have seen this spectacular display of water and special effects since it opened on June 11, 2010.
In thanks to all the “World of Color” fans, we have a fun trivia quiz today about the show, plus a look back at some of the great video highlights from Paradise Bay.
Here’s our quiz. The answers are at the end of this post.
1.) The fountains are the stars of the show, with multiple moving heads that create color and light. How many fountains create the magic of “World of Color”?
2.) From initial planning concept to the debut, how long did it take to create “World of Color”?
3.) The show creators from Walt Disney Imagineering knew that “World of Color” would stretch the capabilities of existing water shows. What Walt Disney quote did they rely on in the process?
4.) Submerged beneath Paradise Bay is the superstructure that generates the show’s giant water screen. This “stage” is longer than a football field, and the width of the water screen ranges from 100 feet to how many feet: 175, 250 or 380?
5.) Since the show opened, a new piece has been added as an encore. It pays tribute to which Disney film?
Here are the answers to the quiz:
Nearly 1,200.
Nearly 5 years.
Walt Disney: “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”
380 feet.
TRON: Legacy, which debuted in December.
I have to say that the show was wonderful! I did a great job of not watching anything about it on YouTube and such before I could actually see it in person. Disney does a great job with music during the night shows at all of their parks. The music is perfectly in sync with the performance as always. I really do think that this is what sets a Disney show apart from your everyday fireworks display. GREAT JOB DISNEY I am glad to be a Vacation Club Member and a Disney Park Advocate! Woot!
The family and I had our first WOC viewing this past weekend. It was amazing. We got to the park early and got blue passes, then on a whim decided to eat at Ariel's Grotto for the first time, and with our dinner got premium seating. Once we got situated and found our spot we looked over at the Blue section. From now on we will always watch WOC utilizing the premium seating, such a better experience then what would have been crammed into the blue section.
I took a good picture with my iPhone and made it a background in case any of you want it:

Where and what do my family have to do to get good seating for WoC? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
I can't wait to go back and see the new addition of Brave!
I watched it last night, I loved it. Hope you do too.

You can also get a FastPass for World of Color. They have the pass machines next to Grizzly River Run. Just insert your tickets in the machine. Now they just issue one ticket for the show for each scanned ticket.

Has anyone seen WOC during the holiday season?
My husband and I are going in November to Disneyland and I was just curious if WOC is changed up a bit for it...?
