I dont really have a favorite sit down restaurant in Disney World, but there is one place I recently tried that I am in love with, and that is Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn. There is something about it that is just amazing. The fixin' bar itself is worth the meal!
there are so many wonderful restaurants at disneyworld. we have loved eating at narcoossee's...always had a good experience. especially the second time we ate there - had a wonderful waiter, with a fun personality. i also really enjoy the garden grill (i know a lot of people don't like it...). living with the land is my fave ride at epcot, so i really enjoyed the restaurant turning through the ride. i also thought the food was great - especially the blueberry dessert they had. i enjoy meeting chracters, and pluto, chip and dale were all a delight. the mickey we had was kinda crabby though...i celebrated my 24th bday here, and had a wonderful time.we also had a really great meal at the rose and crown - most delicious pot roast i have ever had!! le cellier is also one of our faves - for lunch or dinner. i can go on and on.

Boma is awesome, we got a meal there as a honeymoon gift. But my very favorite was Chefs Du France where you can meet Remy and eat amaaaazing food. They brought out our soup and at that first sip I was like "Oh. My. God." THE SOUP. And that was just the soup, you know?
My favorite meal at WDW (so far) had to be dinner at 'Ohana at the Polynesian. A-Maz-ing! Everything was perfect from the bread to the sides to the meat (oh... the meat!) and the most amazing dessert. It was truly the best meal i've ever had. Not just in Disney, ever. Mmm... I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. The service was great, the music was good, and it didn't hurt that we had an incredible view of the Cinderella Castle Dreamlights.
I enjoyed Boma and Biergarten a lot as well. Boma for the dessert buffet (and the other food of course ;)... Zebra domes are a food group.) and Biergarten because it's a beautiful place, the food was good, and it was really cool to sit and eat with total strangers.

I love Chefs de France. Ever since July, this is a staple in my itinerary. The ambiance, food, service. As part of our meals, my friends and I always order a bottle of ($40) Charles de Fere "champagne." This may come as no surprise to many of the VN community, but here's my short story:
I work reception at a hair salon. We have bridal parties coming in Saturday, and as part of those services we serve mimosas and today it was my duty to get the OJ & champs. I don't go to the liquor store often, so I decided to check and see if they carried my French favorite. They did. I don't know much about champagne or wines, but it is considered a sparkling wine instead of champagne. It also sells for ***12.99****!!!! at my local store!!!!!! For the same bottle, same brand, etc. I am really taken aback and will not be ordering a bottle anytime soon from any Disney restaurant. I still love the food, love exploring the tastes Disney has to offer, but this really is what they call "highway robbery." Darn!
Lindsay,
Please don't feel ripped off by Disney in particular. That kind of margin for wine isn't at all unusual for a nice restaurant. My wife and I really enjoy a good bottle of wine but frequently won't order it when we're at a restaurant because I know that I've got the same bottle at home and I paid just 25% of the menu price to purchase it.
As to our favorite restaurants, Jiko and Victoria & Alberts. Both of them have outstanding wine lists.
Yup, it's true. Resturants almost always hike the wine price. I worked at Macaroni Grill - just like with any resturant food or drink, you're also paying for service, ambiance, etc.
Chefs Du France is my favorite too, though. But, OBVIOUSLY, I like it mostly because Remy's there!
And their french onion soup. HOW DO THEY MAKE IT SO GOOD?? I tried and I can't do whatever it is they do.

i love ohanas and their pineapple bread is the absolute best!
I used to love coral reef and my family would go there all the time!!! That ended when they got rid of the peanut butter playdoh. Does anyone else remember that stuff?
Le Cellier is my favorite place to eat at WDW(Epcot)

I have to say Cosmic Rays, Electric Umbrella, and Backlot Express. They all have bacon cheese burgers which I love! It's actually the only place I eat burgers now except when I eat them at home or go to five guys. I haven't gone to any formal restaurants yet because we want to be out of there as fast as possible to get onto the next vinyl destination or ride.
