Trade City, USA - Vinylmation Showcase

Disney has announced a special Vinylmation event that will take place during the Trade City, USA weekend coming this August...

I am not sure but I think you have to be part of the Pin event to go. If any vinyls from the Pin event are left then after 1:00pm they will have a public day for the regular publix. The $25.00 are for the people that are going to the Pin event. Well I hope that I am rong.

I hope it is not an additional $25 on top of the $115. Most VM-only collectors would never pay that. I sent a few emails to get some answers on how it will be ticketed. I'll post when I hear something.

Update: I just received confirmation that for $25 you can attend the Vinylmation event on the 29th. The $115 ticket is not required.

It looks like only $25 to me. The pin Celebration part is stated as being on the 27-28 from 9:30-6:00. Seeing as the vinyl event is the 29th it would seem completely separate.

The Pin Showcase event is on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is the public day and even then that starts @ 2pm and our Vinylmation event is from 9:30 - 2:00pm.

So based off this information I believe it is not required to purchase the $115.00 ticket.

My question now is where and when can we buy the $25.00 Vinylmation Showcase ticket?

Since I don't think I'll be making it down to the event, I'll most likely be sponsoring someone...unless the Atlanta area folks want to have an Atlanta - Orlando Road Trip Drive down Sat and see D Street/ DTD Sat evening, spend the night in the area, go to the event and drive back on Sunday.

Wondering if the number of tickets will be limited, and those with tickets will gain the same access no matter what. I hate having to line up hours early, hoping I can pay my $25 and everyone with a ticket gets the same access to the exclusive vinyls...

I am soooooo there!!! $25 is soooooo worth it if I can get the vinyls that way from the event versus trying to either trade or get them via ebay or pay the $100 to go to the full weekend. I am thrilled Disney is doing this and keeping it to 1 day and not dragging it out all weekend either!!

My thought regarding how the vinyls will be distributed will be the same as how they do the pins with the RSP (Random Selection Process). Now granted, the lowest LE vinyl is what, 750?? That's a lot of people to go to get them all purchased in the first round of the RSP. As long as they do it that way, everyone will get what they want and won't have to line up so early for the event.

While I realize this is going to be an event a LOT of people will want to attend or find someone who will attend for them, all requests for people to attend the event in your place will need to be made in the Trade/Selling Forum. It is considered a transaction as money/vinyls will be exchanging hands. Also this goes for requests for people to pick any of the vinyls up for them.

Please keep this thread to the discussion of the event itself and any information discovered about the vinyls or the event. It is fine to say that you are interested in them, but any requests must be made in the proper forum.

I am sorry to be such a stickler, but this can make this thread get a bit out of hand otherwise with all the requests. Thanks!!
