I was wondering if anyone here has taken the Walking in Walts Footsteps tour at Disneyland. I have been considering taking it, but have never known anyone who's taken it. Thanks in advance.

I've never been to Disneyland, but I've got several friends who have taken that tour, and all said it was absolutely worth every penny. One friend likened it to Disneyland's version of the Magic Kingdom (WDW) Keys to the Kingdom tour - just a little shorter and more Walt-Centric. I've never met anyone who's done the tour who has regretted taking it!

I was very fortunate to have just recently taken the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour... Monday to be exact... and I found it quite interesting. There was only one drawback... ok, two drawbacks in this entire experience... firstly, the headsets we used for listening to the audio tracks of Walt's speeches seriously need to be updated... not just in style, but in operation... poor headsets have seen some better days and using electrical tape to "mask" the problem, just made it worse... and the second, which was just a common courtesy thing... was the group we were with really should have kept some of their opinions to themselves... I understand the entire free speech concept, but there is a time and a place to express oneself. I will have to hand it to our Tour Guide... he definitely knew how to steer us back on track and entertained... Go Peter! I also liked that we got to go to the front of the line on a few attractions with bonus history of each attraction. I will definitely do this tour again... next time with friends, even if Ihave to buy all of their tickets... wink wink!

I have also taken the tour and loved every bit of it. I think it is a must for any real Disney fan
aw I would love to take this tour when I make it out there this summer to see my grandma
I took it about 4 years ago and the headsets were a problem then, we could not hear portions of it.
I've been on both the Walk in Walt and the holiday tour. You need to ask yourself how much disney knowledge you have already and what you really want to gain from the tour. I was disappointed by both of them (taken the same weekend so no time to back out of one after the first one was bad) and the only tour I will now consider is the DCA Segway tour.
I went with my fiance who is a wealth of Disney knowledge and they told us NOTHING she didn't know and as a matter of fact, one of the tour guides on the holiday tour even asked for recommendations on books and websites from her so he could improve his tour. Club 33 was cool, but it's the lobby only. The headsets are always horrible no matter what - Disney or non Disney tours.
If you want to learn Disney facts and don't know the Disney / Disneyland stories then it might be worth your time and money.
The cost of the tour however could buy quite a few Disney info books.
