There has been no confirmed release date as yet. Everyone is guessing that June 18th will be the release date as that is when Toy Story 3 is released in theaters and would make the most sense in terms of when they should be released. Hopefully there won't be any delays, but until there is an official announcement take any information from Cast Members with a grain of salt.Originally Posted by VinylFan

Honestly, after thinking about it some more it might make just as much if not more sense to release this series the week after (June 25th) the official movie release. By then even more hype will be built up for these characters after people have seen the movie.
I noticed this pin set here will be released Thurs. 6/24 so if the VM release is not 6/18 would think 6/25 since they always seem to do them on a Friday.

Well since the star wars vinyls are missing the weekends by a few months , maybe toy story will be here in time for christmas

I would expect we should also see at least a few new characters from TS3.
I wonder if the 9" Aliens would be something like the group of three together hanging from the rearview mirror of the Pizza Planet truck they stole in TS2? At least that is one of the first things that come to mind for me; "Strangers, from the outside"
I think this will be my first case as well. Does anyone know if the 9 inch will be available as well online to buy?
Im really looking forward to this series more than Urban 4, even the 9" Toy Story sound great. Zurg is the one i REALLY want.
We know NADA as of right now, just that there is a Toy Story series and only one possible design as even been shown. They will post info on VM.com when available.

It's odd. One would think Disney would've made sure these were out before the Opening on Friday. Considering all the stuff in regular stores (99% of which is fabulous, might I add), and all the ads in print and on TV, you'd think they'd have gotten this done as well. In my lifetime, I can't recall Disney ever marketing the heck out of a movie like they are doing for TS3.
At this point, I'm wondering if they may be waiting for the DVD release to sell these Vinyls.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Blog addresses this somehow today, with a sneak peak at one of the vinyls, or a cryptic message about when they may be released. I'm also starting to think that they will not preview these before they are released, except maybe a few partial pictures. I think this because I think Buzz may be the chaser. With the helmet included, it makes sense for him to be the chaser, like the other chasers having the crystals to set them apart. IF Buzz is the chaser, they will not want to show too many figures before the release in order to keep the suspense building because of the lack of a truly unknown chaser. This is all speculation, of course.
Who knows, maybe the figures are stuck in Customs and they are just waiting for them to be released.
If Buzz is the Chaser, can you imagine the mess that would be? OY. I hope they don't go that route. Neither Buzz nor Woody should be the Chaser, IMO. If anything, they should be the fillers because so many people would want at least those two. I too am hoping for an update today, but seems like they think Jr 2 is sufficient for us to be excited about. Heh.
Personally, they darn well better have a Hamm vinyl! They shortchanged him on TS3 merchandise too, and I'm hoping they don't leave him out of the Vinyl series. I love him.
