I would prefer that disney keeps these as they are. As others have said keep it simple. Its already tough enough keeping track of the figure, the box, the card, and the foil. I don't need anything else to keep track of.
I like accessories like the 3D glasses on the Mickey.

For the Muppet series there are certain characters that need the accessory ie: Fozzy's hat, Dr. Teeth's hat. They gave Zoot and Waldo a hat and the 9" Animal is going to have a Drumstick. I think that the acessories need to be appropriate to the characters wardrobe. Especially if they can't properly incorperate it into the design. The Swedish Chef looks great wtih the hat incorperated into the design, but Fozzie and Dr. Teeth look plain without theirs being an extra piece IMO.
As long as it's not EVERY piece that has an accessory, and it's just the ones that truly warrant it, I think it's okay. It can really add something to the design when it fits the character - as the PP mentioned, Animal's drumstick with the 9" is a good example. Look how many people posted that the drumstick made the piece!
My one disappointment with this series and the accessories is the lack of hat with Dr. Teeth. He definitely should have had one.

Pepe should have come with a loose block of jello okay
I thought it was a little strange that Floyd and Zoot got actual hats, but Dr. Teeth did not. His is clearly the best and most iconic. I mean, none of them are the same without their hats, but I'd rather have a physical Dr. Teeth hat than any of the others.

Teeth absolutely should have come with a hat. He looks cool with Waldo's hat but would've been 100X's better with his own pink hat.
He and Fozzie not having hats are my only major complaints with the Muppet series overall.

I like the small selection of props/add-ons that come with the VMs now - the wand for the Fairy Godmother was a nice surprise, hats for certain characters (like Waldo from Muppets 2) etc. - I like that some series come with little extra bits like that. But I don't think I'd want a separate line of stuff sold.
Certainly folks who like to play with rather than display their VMs could benefit from such toys, but I'm just not sure it fits. I've never thought of VMs as toys.
