Have you got a Wall-E set?

So I'm interested to see who got a Wall-E set, and more interested to see how you got it! So thought I would create a poll. Hope people don't mind

Yes, I have it!! The set was released on Friday and at that time, I wasn't into VMs. But Friday night at Pin Trading Night at WDW, I heard about the frenzy that was going on over this set. I then talked to Stephen Miller who is in charge of Pins on both coasts and he told me that Animal Kingdom got a late shipment around 4pm on Friday and AK closes at 5pm. So I assumed they still had some left. So I woke at the crack of dawn and made my way through all the people and found myself with the Wall-E set in hand!! This was my first VM EVER!!!

That is quite a good VM as the "first VM EVER" to add to your collection.

I voted yes, I got one myself ... but actually, my son got it for me at cost. (Nothing on the poll that says, "yes, I got one as a gift from a loving son".)

My sister and I the day of release, we kept checking on here how things were going with Wall-E and we had a family member already going this past weekend for the Trading event so she was going to pick up a set for each of us. THEN when we found out how bad things were we decided at midnight Saturday morning to drive up to Orlando from Miami because we had to get our Wall-E and Eve set! So we got to Orlando at 3:30am, and we waited for the stores to open. We went to Hollywood Studios but no luck because our family member was at Epcot and she was able to get a set for herself and her brother, then we went to Downtown Disney and waited for WOD to open and we witnessed how unorganized Disney is with the Vinylmation. We were third in line, and apparently they let other people in from the other side of the store which ran in front of us and got like 5 people at the register trying to get two each (mind you the store only had 20) and the manager was being very unprofessional arguing with the poor guy behind us who came up with his family and they weren't able to get enough for everyone who came. It was just ugly. BUT! My sister and I got our Wall-E and Eve Set and so did our best friend who was with us.

Nope, didn't get one but I have to have one! I don't live anywhere near WDW or DL so I had no chance of getting one in the first place. My only hope is ebay but, of course, people are listing them for waaaaaaaay more than what they paid for them (I hate greedy people)! Hopefully, eventually I'll be able to get one without having to max out my credit card (if you know what I mean) LOL (o:

Yeah, I'm kind of upset about how much they are going for on eBay...I really want one of these...they look fantastic!

I bought one pre-sale on ebay for $65. The seller was unable to get one and refunded my money. I waited a few weeks hoping the price would come down, but it just kept getting higher. I really wanted the set so I ended up making an offer of $135 to another seller and they accepted. Way above retail, but totally worth it to me.

i had to pay someone on here, way above retail. its ok, because i wanted it and i liked it. they are going for a bit cheaper now. about 150, give or take, with shipping. mine sold on ebay for 148.something with 5 shipping (which really cost 10)

This was before I knew that you could call the actual stores at WDW directly to get what you want! I called the Mail Order people and they told me the Wall-e & Eve set was exclusive to the parks and couldn't be bought over the phone!

Bought one myself.Waited for four hours in the pouring rain at D-Street at Disneyland. I was lucky to be the first in line.

Sadly no, did the waiting in line at DLR in the rain for nothing. Havent really tried to get it since then, mostly because I resent the whole fiasco. But I still think it is a well done set, very nice addition to collections.

I don't really care for the set. Is it cool? Yes, but I never was really interested in it. Wall-e isn't my favorite movie ever, but given it's popularity I'm not surprised at how crazy it could have been to get this set.
