My Experience In Discovery Cove! :D

Discovery Cove is a unique and wonderful once-in-a-lifetime experience that is a must-do for anyone in Orlando at least once. Though it is quite expensive, hence the once in a lifetime status, it truely is worth every last cent. Though I have no idea how to post pictures yet, yes i am a forum noob, I will gladly give you a picture in your mind through the power of IMAGIIIINATION, haha spongebob reference. The experience starts when you walk into the "custom house" where you are surrounded by beautiful dark woods and wonderful sculptures of dolphins. It truely is a beautiful lobby and way to start your day. I must also add how comfy the couches are ;). You are given Discovery Cove lanyards and a photo ID, really a nice touch. You also get a complimentary snorkel which has the discovery cove logo and is really high quality. It counted as my souvenir as i was sure not gonna spend any more money there . Next you walk through a beautiful shaded and tropical landscaped path into the main entrance where you can see all of the beautiful rivers, lakes, and beaches. At this point you truely know how great this day is going to be. There are plentiful employees walking around with everything from turtles to baby sloths. The river is quite deep and has an endless amount of routes to explore. The sting ray lake was truely my favorite as there are tons and they all are so friendly. The big lake has many fish and is great for exploring. And of course the dolphin experience is as fun as you could imagine. There is even a area where you can feed birds and see some small deers walking around, all in a beautiful tropical landscape. But what was my favorite part of the experience. THE FOOD!! Its an all-inclusive experience and the food is amazing. From countless amounts of chips to the best slushies you can ever get besides dole whip(i had about 12 that day). They have burgers, chicken fingers, and everything in between. Its unlimited all day so i have to admit i went back many times, especially for those slushies i mentioned . It truely is an amazing experience worth every cent and a once-in-a-lifetime experience you will never forget. Anybody else like it as much as i do? Or the opposite? Or Anything about Discovery Cove you have questions about?

We went in 2002 and were just mesmerised by the place. The beauty of the scenery and landscaping they have managed to create is amazing, and really shows what Sea World are best at. I agree with everything David said above and would strongly recommend anyone to do this once in their lifetime.

Our dolphin at the time was Dixie, who was 28. I recently spoke to Guest Relations who said Dixie, now 35, is still enjoying her interactions at Discovery Cove and has since given birth to Rocky who is also now at the Cove!
HHN Has come and gone for another year, and another year I didn't make it... Bring on 2010!

We had Dixie when we went last June!!!

I loved my time at Discovery Cove. Would happily go again as I found that to be the most relaxing day of our 2 weeks.
