Six Flags Magic Mountain

This theme park is one of the coolest of them all, that is if you stay in SoCal.

I would have to disagree.

Though it has plenty of roller coasters, I dislike the place for pretty much three reasons:
1. poorly taken care of - on my past visits, the place seems runned down with lots of trash and signs of vandalism everywhere.
2. Poor theming - some of the poor themes they have just makes the place unattractive to visit for me.
3. Poor location - i hate the up and down walks to get from one place to the other. Add in the heat thats always present in the area, it's just not that great to me.

True. but i go for the roller coasters, and if you think about it some people dont really care about a theme at six flags because the roller coasters back it up.

i myself can get past the poor theming and hills everywhere but a lot of local teens go there and mess the place up. i go just for the roller coaster and nothing else

I agree, I live close but cant even force myself to go. I would rather make the hour plus long drive to Disneyland. It's sad I have a lot of great memories from MM.

I was told that six flags was not the place to go due to local gangs vandalism etc. This made us think our plans and not visit six flags. what do others think.

I am a fan of their roller coasters (some of the best around) but am not a fan of Magic Mountain's poor customer service and safety!

It's hard to say, each day is a different batch of people. I think for the most part its want to be badass teenagers and 20 somethings. I would say if you go, go during the off season.
