    Authentic Paint Drip Mickey?

I'm still new to collecting Vinylmations, but the Paint Drip Mickey chaser from Urban #4 has really caught my eye and I've been on the hunt for it for quite a while. Today, on eBay, a new listing popped up for a very low price (low for this specific Vinylmation). However, I checked the photos closely and it does not seem to be authentic. . . not only that, but it is in poor condition. Can I get some help, identifying if this is an authentic Paint Drip?

    Thanks!

EDIT: I also noticed that the card in the listing seems to be printed on plain printer paper. I'm really glad I didn't get over-excited and purchase this auction right away.

You can ask for a picture of the feet, the feet will help identify it.

Looks okay to me as well, especially because they're a top rated seller. with Erika, ask for more pictures if you're unsure, or skip that particular auction all together--better safe than sorry.

I see what you are talking about it looks like it is sloppy when between the black and face color, but I don't own PDM so cannot tell you. I think there is a thread about people selling fakes, so I would check there. I think they have ways you can tell if they are real like popping the head off and other stuff. Can't be too careful, I have had stuff stolen via trade and had no vinyls delivered after paying. Good luck.

He posted the picture of the feet and it looks to check out. But. . . if I'm going to put down a lot of money for a Vinylmation, authentic or not, I want it to look clean and be in pristine condition.

It looks authentic to me and some of the older vinyls had less than perfect paint jobs.

However that price is not that great - paint drips have been going for about $150 recently.

My honest opinion is this was touched up, either by someone in China or a collector here in the states. For those that don't know China will touch up figures that the paint is slightly damaged. Park 6 was the worst in my opinion regarding China touch ups.

What's with the price drop in them? Not that I'm complaining, seeing as I've been wanting one. But what made them dip in price?

You really can't tell what makes a certain vinyl change in price (up or down) - clearly some of it is supply and demand - but sometimes it is just because.

If you are looking for a specific vinyl and want to see what sort of price it is selling at - don't look at ebay current prices - go into ebay 'advanced' and do a search on completed listings - it will tell you if items have sold or not and at what price.
