Been a while since I've completed any customs (really ADHD with starting projects and not finishing them ) but today I managed to put the finishing touches on two KidRobot projects I've been doing on and off for the past few months. Mods -- I realize these aren't VM, thought this would be the best place for it but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

First up is my iPod nano custom. As many of my friends know, I'm a devoted iOS and Mac user (read: fanboy :P) and love anything Apple. So as a tribute to this, I took a chance at making a tribute to one of Apple's most popular products, the iPod. I'm probably far from the first person to try my hand at this design so bear with me if it looks like anyone else's, I did however craft this one entirely from my own ideas. In case you're wondering, the earphone accessory themselves came with the figure; I made the plug and wire myself with the sawed-off end of a candy cane accessory, an unraveled paper clip, and hot glue.




Next, the Piggy Bank. This was originally supposed to be a parent/child collaboration for KR's MunnyWorld contest back in June (creds to my Mom for the sculpt) but since I finished it so late it ended up being just for fun. No, it isn't functional (unfortunately) -- I simply carved out a slot on the head and a hole in the stomach, and hot glued some pennies down for effect. For accessories, we sculpted a stick from a picket sign prop into a pitchfork and glued on a small straw hat and bow from the dollar store.
