The WDW Honeymoon Adventures of DHGGirl&Guy

Hey Guys!

So I have this awesome video series of me and my hubby on our Honeymoon in WDW! And what's cute about it is that on the LAST DAY, at the veeeeery very end, we discover Vinylmation. I thought this tale of adventure and coming of age was best suited to be viewed by, well, people like us.

So, here we are, two years ago. Hubby had never been to WDW. I had been 3 times, but as you can tell we were by no means Disney experts. Watch as we go from novice to seasoned fans of the Mouse, the Parks, and of course....Vinylmation.

Two thoughts:
When I try to recall the name of the dessert at AK Lodge, I always end up teaching myself exactly why they are NOT called "zebra balls."
Also, we didn't know there was torrential rain in FL all the time. It seemed like an extra special adventure to us....at first.

A little background info - Toby's a huge fan of Six Flags. I love the moment on this vid where he sees the inside of Space Mountain for the first time - this ain't no runaway mine train!

Here's episode four: THE HAUNTED MANSION

For someone who was sooooo excited to ride haunted mansion, DHGGuy turns out to be a bit of a baby.

Hmm. I'm 5'9" and it's a bit cramped for my legs. MrDF is 6'3" so that's why I'm worried!

Oh wow! That is tall, lol. Well, if I remember correctly (which it's like 90% probable that I don't,) isn't it open like, from seat to seat? If he sits behind you, can't he stretch his legs around you? Or am I crazy?

My most distinct memory of space mountain is when I was little, I brought a special sorcerer mickey bottle on the ride, and it rolled all around the whole time. I was very worried about loosing it. So in my memory, it's BOUNDLESSLY HUGE. :P

Yeah, I think the back seat is the better one to be in. The front is so cramped!

The only ghost he didn't find scary is the one he said "looks like mom!"

To me: that was the scariest ghost of all.

Also, this one has a little sneaky peek of the kind of "magic" that can happen when you've got magic Disney honeymoon buttons!

Episode 9:

The finale of the Bear Jamboree, and we get to see the beginning of the light parade after all!

No fire works though. Hmph.

This one has some really good advice for people planning trips to WDW!

1.) Don't try to exit the park during a parade unless you are content to wander around looking at pretty lights as you slooooowly make your way towards the gate.
2.) Yes, there ARE rude people at Disney World. (seriously, why are you in such a hurry to LEAVE the happiest place on earth??)
3.) While those extra magic hours may have the park open until 2:00 AM, that does NOT mean you can get food! All Disney eateries close with the normal hours of the park.
4.) If you didn't know #3, you can have pizza delivered to your resort, but you will have to go get it from the lobby.

The Kali River Rapids, small children falling over (LOL WALK MUCH? I'm sorry I'm terrible. But it is funny. Especially since I didn't even notice until re-watching this footage.) Lunch at Yak and Yeti (sort of), It's Tough to be a Bug, and some romantic words from my husband, because every young bride dreams of looking like Martin Scorsese, all in the Florida rain.

Okay, this video features one of my most favorite memories from the trip - meeting Whinnie the Pooh. This is the sweetest, most heart-warming character greeting I've ever had, including being a small child and everything, this was awesome. What's awesome is that there was even MORE sweetness beyond this! I wish I'd have kept rolling. Pooh turned out to be a big Kingdom Hearts fan - he's great friends with Sora. And we played with him for like EVER, the photographer was sort of hinting at us taking too long, but Pooh brushed him off, insisting on seeing more pics from halloween and getting more hugs. <3

I get a kickbutt frame of the Yeti, which is pretty amazing for filming on a camcorder. If you miss it on your initial watch, I put a still of that frame at the end. Yup, that is from MY camera, NOT a Disney stock photo!
