VinylNation Blog Article: "Tokidoki at D-Street"

I know Vinylmation doesn't exist in a vinyl art toy vacuum, but it still surpised me to find some ...

Could it be a sign of a broadening of the brand?

This is very interesting and exciting! I have to admit, though, last time I was there, I didn't notice the Tokidoki additions at all.

Interesting article. When living and working at Disney in 2008, I fell in love w Tokidoki which I found at Virgin Megastore and a few figures at Art of Disney DTD. While I don't collect any other vinyl figurines as of right now aside from Disney Pop!, I appreciate your positivity toward expansion and the imagination of a new store dedicated to all toys.

    Collecting since September 2010

Right? At least as much potential as the beach!

See, I never knew they had Tokidoki at AoD back then! Granted, I probably wouldn't have noticed anyway, but that's a cool tidbit.

Funko Pops could totally steal shelf space in that hypothetical future D-Street, by the way.

*Squee!* Drew mentioned me in his Tokidoki Blog! Did you see why the Cactus Pups were stacked like that? The Yellow one was sad because they stood on him, and the grey one was really bugged about the whole thing but the red one's like, "Look at me! I'm Top Dog!"

... No one else saw that?

    (ahem)

Awesome article, Phylers! I honestly would love to see a Tokidoki and Vinylmation collaboration if even just for one series. I can definitely see Maria Clapsis teaming up with them and really making some awesome designs. Maybe a Tokidoki Cutesters line with a take on disney and tokidoki characters would bring back the "cute" in the Cutesters series and remind us what they use to be like. *sigh*
