Festival of the Masters - worth going?

We are thinking of when to come to Disney this Fall - last year did late October (so we did Not So Scary Halloween and Universal Scream Halloween)...

This year considering coming in November and see they have the 3 day Festival of the Masters...

But, I could only find some forum posts from the 2010 year - is this worth going to (for VM especially?). Anyone go last year? Anyone know news/secrets about this year?

    Thanks!

Personally, I'd call it a "skip" for Vinylmation purposes. Last year, there were no mass-produced pieces debuting, and the only event-related Vinylmation figures were done as one-of-kinds by some of the outside artists who were featured in the festival. While the pieces were neat to see, the prices were on the "outrageous" side to the point that many of them are actually still available for purchase at D-Street.

Now, if you had a time warp back to the '08 or '09 Festival of the Masters, you'd have been there for the literal debut of the Vinylmation concept, albeit in different hands than it is currently.

Honestly, if you're familiar with either of Disney's actual festivals in Epcot, you've got the wrong idea for this one. I'd compare it to a high-end sidewalk sale/display as opposed to a true "festival." Of course, if art is your thing, it's an easy way to kill four or five hours walking around DTD and seeing the various booths and bits of sidewalk chalk art (the latter being the general highlight for most casual visitors).
