    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Flipping Disney...... this is so annoying... Us Brit's finally had something decent to trade (thankfully we got a few months grace)....and now they have ruined it..
I know we are getting the Global ones over here in the UK but no Tokyo ones (confirmed by disney uk)

I spent a fortune on a Dublin one... (nearly $30) and now its going to be everywhere... its just not right that they use the term exclusive and just ruin it like this...

However...on a good note... looks like i might be able to save a bit on picking up those Japanese Mickie and Minnie ... so glad i waited before getting them shipped in from Japan...

I don't know why Disney bother using the term Exclusive any more.... i know this applies to the Chicago, Hawaii, SF, NYC and the DLP ones too but seriously this just doesn't seem right..

Also what's store 346 which won't get the London, Irish or French one?

Rog unfortunately we don't know which store that is. I can definitely understand why you're frustrated about them being exclusive. Technically Disney is just looking at this in a way of where is the money.

Not sure which one that is. Considering it is a DS guide sheet, I'm sure CM's would know

Also, like crazybones said, they are probably doing this because they are noticing that they are being sold on the secondary market ot people in the US and they are missing out on potential domestic sales. Plus I can guarantee you that they make more profit selling them in the U.S. market than they do in Europe.

It just is so annoying...I understand why they are doing it, and for anyone who hasn't got them, its a fantastic way of getting this set cheaply and easily...but it ruins the whole idea of "exclusive" and location themed vinyls.. And I expect many American collectors will be annoyed at trading/buying them at high rates......

Yes definitely there are going to be a lot of collectors who feel annoyed by trades they made because they valued these as high value vinyls, but it's almost the name of the game honestly. Any company is going to sift their product lines around to where it will sell better and make a better profit. Yes they are going to make previous buyers angry, but the fact of the matter is they already got their money so they don't really care unfortunately . I does stink to think the trade values on the figures are now going to fall huge,y, but I'm happy to think some collectors will be able to get the ones they've been dying to get a little easier .

I think your last point is dead one... i know i wanted the Tokyo ones so its going to make it much easier to get hold of...
I did think however surely these ones are going to be boxed slightly different to the original ones from their country so that makes them a little unique (plus the details under the foot)... hopefully they repackage the boxes to look a little different but i think i'm expecting too much from Disney on that one..especially after seeing the tokyo edo sushi chef pic

I can see it from both perspectives. It's great that the people who want the exclusives will be able to get them easily, but I can understand being upset that they aren't so "exclusive" anymore.

It really does bring down the "collectable value" overall. Now I have that the TDS Toy Story Mania's will come to the US parks.

Oh my gosh, yes! That would be great. Maybe I'm just sort of "meh" about it because I don't particularly want any of the vinyls they're bringing to the store

I'm pretty sure store 346 is in Hawaii, based on a little googling.

Overall, I'm pretty split about this. I called in quite a few favors to get exclusives shipped in to try and help some members out. Granted, I probably paid less in cash than what they'll sell for at a retail DS when you figure in local sales taxes, but still... On the other hand, it makes getting these far more readily available to most members who want them for the design factor and not the exclusivity factor.

I guess we kind of knew this was going to happen, though. One of the key things I took away from the Florida Project was that they were going to try and make some of the exclusives more available - We've already seen that with higher LE numbers on most of the 2 packs, the DLP 20th Anniversary showing up in the US, US city exclusives on ds.com, etc...

I can totally understand both sides as well. For me, it just makes it a little easier to get figures I would have passed on. Maybe they should just change it and not call them "exclusives". Just call them what they are. Designs made to represent the city, state or country in vinyl form.

What. the. heck. They should not call them exclusives anymore if they aren't going to actually be exclusives. Lame. Lame. Lame.

Just out of curiosity, is the Italian exclusive only sold in the Disney store in Rome? And does any1 know where in Italy there are Disney stores? My gparents spend 3 months twice a year in their townhouse in a small town close to Milan and I was going to ask them for a favor ( they have a car, and generally travel around europe) and constantly ask me what they can get me lol, just occurred to me I could ask them for a vinylmation haha, but since they are my grandparents I don't want to send them on a witch hunt
May the trades & blind boxing be ever in your favor!

From what I have heard, there is a DS in Milan. But I'm not 100% sure. Maybe someone who has gotten them could confirm

Thanks chief yay a comment from one of the chiefs they won't leave for a couple of months so I got time to confirm and plan it out for them ( plus if they go to other countries with exclusives I want to prep the info so I can tell them to get me those too) I appreciate the quick reply! Most likely I can convince them to get a few !

Just a thought here but, I'm wondering if the boxes will be in English, and the ones that are from around the world will still be in the different languages.

It reminds me of what they did with the Disneyland Paris 20th Anniversary Vinylmation 3"-es. I'm talking about the packaging. Could this be the same thing they're doing?

I've not picked up a DLP Anniversary to check, but I can confirm that the Roman Centurion's packaging is primarily in Italian.
