As I google for sotmk information and updates, I find it increasingly difficult to find any recent news. One blog however, has a post dated as of 4/30 where people
Are confidently posting about cards 71-200 ( is this legit? )
Also, it seems likely that easy mode will continue to be enforced until the fall ( so the blog says, does anyone have an official update on this? )

When I was last at wdw during my bday on 4/6 a cast member working at the fire station seemed very confident and officially " in the know" about cards 61-70 being sold in the near future as booster packs. I wish we had more info on this, I am leaning towards supporting this only if price point is under $10 and cards 1-60 remain free. I feel like if we are able to purchase them the crazy people on eBay will lower prices to amounts that make sense. I can't fathom investing $400 on a card that was distributed for free, savvy?

Anyway, i figure if we could all get together and post any info, rumors or updates here on vinylnations sotmk forum, we could get to the bottom of this mess.

Yes, it appears that's what all the CMs are saying regarding those 10 cards. And I have to agree - it is ridiculous at the price points for a single card ($150+ per? Really?) and it's obvious at this point Disney is likely taking advantage of the rarity by selling those as a separate pack. Honestly, I'd rather see those cards be prepackaged into every 20 or so sealed packs than being bought. But seeing how evilBay works with one card, I guess it's 'better' you're forced to be glad to pay $10 or so for something that should be free to begin with...

Its my humble opinion that perhaps it would be ideal to let players continue to test the game as is for now, there are definitely many opportunities for growth within the storylines and character spell interactions. I think that it would be better to hold off on those "71-200" until people are able to play properly. It was my experience that the process of picking cards and putting them up in time for the cameras to catch was causing delays. Basically, i think wdi needs to organize the gameplay a little more before they decide to bombard us with extra choices. People seem to be hostile and crazy over free cards! Let's hope that we can mantain a level of disney behavior and figure it out, or we are going to end up ruining such a fun and exciting activity.
I also want to know who the source is of the info about the release of the 71-200 cards.

I'm still totally bummed out about the easy mode lockdown. I only get out there once or twice a week and it's taking me forever to max out my cards on easy
I'd like to see how they do the booster packs. I might buy them if they had a lightning bolt card in every pack, but I have 1-60 so I wouldn't want to buy cards I already have. When I was building my deck, it was frustrating enough to get all doubles when they were free. I wouldn't want to pay for them.

Exactly, roxane. I'm all for booster packs if it means a legitimate avenue for semi-easily getting our hands on lightning bolt cards, but I'd have a hard time justifying paying for a bunch of extras. Obviously they can't just sell packs with all ten lightning bolt cards inside, but would one per pack really be too much of a problem?

Or maybe we get surprised with new characters ( new cards ) and lb cards in the booster packs. One can dream right?

Ok possibly not the right place for this rant, but I didn't want to mess up another thread since it doesn't belong in any. But, this is ridic. Would any capable person seriously spend that insane amount on free cards! Ahhhhhhhh!
