    AL MVP: Albert Pujols
AL Rookie of the year: Yu Darvish

    NL Cy Young: Matt Cain
    NL MVP: Matt Kemp

My only prediction is that there won't be any fried chicken in the Red Sox clubhouse this year.

No one has any love for the Cubs? Or am I still that crazy Cubs fan who thinks that this year is the year? (Even though I know it's not...but one can hope?)

I'm a huge Mets fan. I'm ready to make a bold prediction that this team is going to make the playoffs. I know nobody outside of Metsland thinks they are any good, but when you really look at some of the lesser known players..this is a good team. Ike, Duda, Murphy and Wright are all going to have great years if they stay healthy. I guarantee one of them hits over 30 home runs too. Which will be quite the accomplishment if you know recent Mets history. We have a solid bullpen and at least 4 solid starters. I know it's too soon to base everything off the 3-0 start, but I really believe in these guys. If Bay ever starts hitting then I think we have the best offense on the NL East. I know it sounds crazy..but some of these non household names are really talented. Murphy can hit .350 one of these years..this guy is a real contact hitter.
I really believe it's going to be a magical summer if people stay healthy. I think when people look at the standings at the end of April, they'll be surprised where the Mets are sitting and some people will be buzzing about this team.

I think the Braves and Phillies have too many question marks right now. The Nationals are an up and coming team, and I'm still not sure what to expect from the Marlins. As much as I love Jose Reyes and was really heartbroken to watch him leave, he's going to get hurt. There's no question that he will end up on the DL. Him and Hanley are not guys to build a team around for more reasons than one.

Side note..I thought it was a really dumb move for Disney to just make "some" teams from each sport. I know the Florida teams are insanely popular, but the Marlins are going to draw a lot of fans this year and the Rays are starting to grow as a franchise. Not sure why those wouldn't be sold in Florida. Same goes for a couple other teams. Making only 1 Chi and NY team is odd..

First off.... YAY ANOTHER METS FAN....I'm a huge mets fan too and yes, I do think your crazy. There is no way the mets are making the playoffs though I definitely don't think they're going to be as bad as people say. I don't think they're a 70 win team as I think they'll get somewhere in the range of 75-80 and they could even surprise everyone and make a run at that second wildcard. I agree that health is a major major major key and issue for this team and maybe I don't believe in them because they haven't had a full lineup for more than a few games in the past 2 or 3 seasons. I agree with those players you mentioned in being good and I think Ike and Duda can each hit 30. Bay I believe is done and they won't get anything out of him and I have no idea what in the hell happened to him, he was a GREAT player with the Pirates and Red Sox and then came to the Mets and it's like he completely forgot how to play baseball. I think they're starting picthing is decent but the key is Santana and if Gee can pitch well tomorrow like he did last year, we can deal with pelfrey walking the park and giving up 6 runs in 3 innings because we have 4 other starters to make up for it. The funny thing about the mets is that especially over the past few years they are always in first or a game or 2 out by the all star break and then once that hits it all goes down hill. I do agree that the division isn't very good, but it's a lot better than just giving the title to the phillies who are not very good without utley or howard. Of course, and as you know, it's way too early to tell what can happen because it is such a long season and especially what happened last year. By the going rate, the world sereis will include the mets and orioles and be a rematch of 1969. We all know that's not going to happen. I'm happy they disposed of the braves this weekend but i can't put too much stock in it because they are a mess and banged up with no Chipper. Hanson pitched a great game on opening day but got some bad luck as he went against Santana. They also have no Tim Hudson so they're stuck with Mike Minor who is not a major league pitcher. It will be an interesting season to say the least though but they have to stay healthy for there to be any kind of success

I think they only made certain teams that are the "fan" favorites. I say "fan" because a lot of these teams have bandwagoners following them Certain teams pull in more fans, so Disney was looking at the business side of things rather than all the teams. Since there are so many Disney collectors in Florida, I don't understand why they wouldn't try to sell to the Floridian fan base. Especially with the Marlins new logo

Yeah I agree with you but I do think in the case that there is not a Mets vinyl is because Disney knows the team sucks so no one would buy it. hahaha

Well at least you're a realistic fan. I've been cheering for the Yankees since I was 4, but I like to root for the home team (Angels!). I hope all this money spent on Pujols will actually produce some good results in the post season.

I kind of think they should have made each MLB team vinylmation a city exclusive.

Yeah I'm with you on that one. They actually do have a great lineup and terrific starting pitching. The thing is aside from Strausberg and Gonzales we didn't think their other pitchers would be any good. Their bullpen has also been very good surprising though because they lost Storen for a while and he's a top of the line closer. I think a major key has been Ian Desmond. In the past season or 2 (I forget when he came up) he has always swung at bad balls and therefore never really hit much for average or hit hrs and that's kind of set the tone for the rest of the lineup. The loss of Werth is a huge blow but they're getting by because of the Harper call up. I'm happy for the Nationals as I said it was only a matter of time before they started to be good. I'm sooooooooooooooooooo happy the phillies are sucking because i hate them and they have some of the worst fans in the world. Oh yeah, Hamels is also a major (words I can't say on here). I never had any respect for him but I lost it after the crap he puilled last week.

On a happier note, my Mets are surprisingly doing amazing for them at least and much much better than anyone expected. If this NL east the way it is right now is any indication on how the season will end, the Mets could most certainly win it. I still don't like their bullpen nor did I during the offseason but the biggest positive is David Wright. I'm so happy hes back to form as he was years ago, though not hitting the homeruns he's driving the ball and putting good wood on it not to mention spectacular defense. I'm very disappointed with Ike though, he may have 5 hr and 17 rbi but that's all he does. He's hitting I think .173 as of last night and that's really upsetting me because I really do like Ike. I know it's still only May 15th or but I'm still very very hapy with the way they have been playing.

Boston is a complete utter mess and I don't see them turning things around so quickly though they have won 5 straight. Of course Texas is beast and the best team in baseball and is Hamilton posessed or what?

So far so good with my Mets predictions lol. This team is legit. We definitely will be sticking in the wildcard hunt all year if they're healthy, I'm sure. But to go deep in the playoffs we need to add something before the deadline. I'm thinking one of those washed up starters that finds new life or something.

Which one's are you talking about? I know Batista has been good in 2 of his 3 starts but I don't think this will go on forever. Actually, they expect Chris Young to come back in the next few weeks I think. It was a shame losing Pelfrey even though I didn't like him, he was pitching terrific in the few starts he made. The only one that seems reasonable is Oswalt but there's no telling what kind of shape he's in, the condition of his back (remember that's what kept him out a bit last year) or what he would want in the way of money. I also think they need to add something to the bullpen.

Boston being bad makes me happy. Of course, they could snap out of it at any time. They could also load up at the trade deadline.
