    Tips/Tricks

Just wanted to share a tip, please add your tips & tricks as well!!

I have heard through several people that you should change your attack cards during each fight. So I prepare 3 combo spells before a fight, and match a mystic/fairy spell with each combo (so 3 cards per attack).

This powered up all of my mystic and fairy cards, which tend to be powerful already.

When I got to Chernabog, I just paired a fairy/mystic card for each of the attacks (so 2 cards per attack) and defeated him in 3 blows (Medium Mode). Compared to my other Medium fights, I was surprised I had the least number of attacks from Chernabog.

My assumption is that since all of the cards I played were all powered up, and paired with other powered up cards, I was able to defeat him pretty easily. Can't wait to try this on hard!

    What tips do you have?

Not a tip, but a question. How many times do you have to play a card before it is powered up to it's max? I'm still working on powering mine up.

From what we've noticed, if you play the same card (or card combo) you should se the alternate animation by the end of your 2nd villain. It looks like the cards vary.
My son charged Doris in one villain. My wife charged Naveen & Tiana in 2 villains. When playing Woody & Buzz, Buzz was charged half way through the 2nd villain and after 3 villains, I haven't seen any difference with Woody.

My understanding is that a card starts leveling up after the 3rd use. Some have obvious changes, Bolt went from Super Bark to Laser Eyes; others have had just increased attacks, Lumiere went from 1 Candlestick to 3; and others seem to just grow and grow, Naveen's frogs looked like they were getting bigger and bigger and bigger!

However, when I went from Easy to Medium, all of my cards started over again so trying to level up cards on Easy mode did not prove to be very helpful in my Medium game. I haven't started Hard yet, but I'm assuming I have to start fresh again.

I had a feeling that happened, but I wasn't sure! I thought I had gone . My Rapunzel went all the way down once I leveled up; I rebuilt her pretty quickly, but it was annoying as all get-out. Interestingly, my Bolt didn't revert - he stayed higher.

How do you have time for all these things? First characters, and now this.

That is interesting! I think it will take more time for us to all figure out how this game really works.

Haha! Characters are pretty stagnant now, so I needed a new challenge! This is proving to be a good challenge for sure!

Amen to that. I understand Disney's thinking in getting us all to kind of crowd-source our way into the intricacies of the game, but at the same time, it does have me wishing for a good, old-fashioned instruction manual.

Another tip: Hold your card closer to your body. The cameras seem to be focused on a plane in line with the "power spot." Thrusting your arm out (though a natural movement) can cause problems.

I have to rescind my former comment - I was dropped to Easy today, and all of my powered up cards followed me. I'm not sure if it's because they felt bad that everyone was dropped to easy, it may have just been a fluke, or perhaps this is a sign that your cards will remain at their power, no matter your level. I'm hopeful for the last one, so I'm going back to MK tomorrow to power up more cards! I'm going to start a new thread to track what powered up cards look like!

Plus, I'm down to needing 14 stars, so I can get a star, then I give the rest of my pack away to new players. I love seeing the look on people's face when I say, "nope, don't need a trade, just take it!" It makes those hours in the hot sun worth it for sure!

My daughter and I spent a couple of days playing and collecting (using both of our key cards), and I honestly didn't notice any differences with the animations. Then again, we made sure to use every single card at least once just to see what they did, so maybe thats why. We tried the medium level, but got a bit frustrated when we couldn't defeat the boss in the three shots it gave us the frst time. Now we know we have to level the cards, so thank you for the tip!

I played yesterday, and I can confirm the same. Well, sort of. You're still at your current difficulty level, but the computer is playing every round as if you were on Easy. So I'm on Medium, but even though the battles are on Easy, I'm still progressing through Medium.

The powered-up cards have also been returned, and they'll stick with you through your levels now instead of resetting. It was pretty satisfying seeing my Rapunzel and Bolt return to their respective former butt-kicking glory!

I have recently started playing this game and I was wondering if there was a way to tell when you're card is maxed out?

Grander animations when you use a spell. Rapunzel, for instance, does more hair whips. Bolt gains extra Bolt powers. Buzz Lightyear gets extra animations. Etc, etc.

Do you guys factor in the Strength/Boost/Shield values or card categories?
    What are your favorite pairings?
Is there a limit to how many cards you can use at once? Why not use 4 or 8, by setting up some pages in a 2x2/page card book? That way you are charging as many cards as possible at once!

I like to pair Lythos and Quasimodo, because Lythos is just about the highest strength of any card, and Quasimodo ain't bad. They make for an interesting attack.
I also really like the Giant's Giant Stomp, and am looking forward to pairing it with Mickey's Magic Beans.

Some people say you should listen for clues in the audio as to what specific weakness a villain has, and choose your attacks accordingly. For example Cruella is vulnerable to toy attacks. Or so they say.

Of course none of this matters at the Easy level.

I think - think - the combo limit is four, but it wouldn't surprise me to hear anecdotes of people using six or eight cards. Personally, I've never seen it read any more than four, and even that's a stretch; the system is more likely to grab one or two of the four than all four.

I've seen it do animations for seven cards at one time recently. When I beta tested it, I counted ten once, but seven is the most I've gotten it to do recently and that was early in the morning before anyone else was playing. I think as more people play, it slows down the computer and it registers less cards.
