Hey all! Remember this?



Well it looks like Disney is getting ready to decorate another one of its monorails! I saw a post from the Disney official blog earlier and it showed a picture of what the new monorail skin may look like. The rumors I've seen state that it's the red monorail that's going to get the wrap and that it will first appear in the Spring. What will be decorating our red monorail, you ask?

I'm a bit excited about it. I did absolutely *love* the Tronorail and I was very sad to see it go. I'm not sure if it's because of how it looked, or because I just enjoyed calling it the Tronorail.

Same here! I'm wondering if there will be a different picture or color or whatnot on the other side. The Tronorail had blue on one and yellow on the other. There are so many possibilities for the other side!!

I know a lot of people don't really care for the different monorail skins, but I think they are fun! I think this is a great replacement for the Tronorail, though it will probably have a less catchy nickname.

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING! Haha! I was even trying to come up with one. Like Avengerail. Idk. We should all try and come up with ideas! Maybe they'll catch on at the park.

That is one awesome monorail! I wish I was in WDW to see it in person.

Ive been going to DLR for the past 10 years (once every year) and I've never noticed this!!! Do they often have "special edition?" monorails? . . . Maybe I just don't pay attention enough . . . I've only ever been on monorail once and I dont remember if it had any special edition advertising on it . . . Any others with pics? Thanks

I don't know about DL, but at WDW they did the TronMonorail first and they have now changed it to the Avengers. I'd say this is a fairly new thing they started doing when Tron came out . Again I'm not sure what DL does though.

I don't think Disneyland does this. I've only ever heard of it in WDW. They did it first on the Epcot line with the Tronorail and then now on the MK Express line with this Avengers one!

Can't wait to see the Avengers monorail in person next month. I love the idea of wrapping a monorail every once in a while. A couple of years ago we were obsessed with seeing/and saying the word tronorail while we were there. I really think they should make a LE monorail vinyl with these 2 designs! I'm guessing this is the first Marvel movie that Disney really is owning? I know that the last few movies were already being made by other studios or whatever. I guess my real question here is..I'm wondering if Disney will officially start putting the Marvel movies on DCL. I don't think any have appeared yet..and I've been on a few Disney cruises lol. I guess if we see a Marvel movie appear on DCL then it's officially Disney owned.

I lived in las vegas for 2 years. Wrapped monorails are quite the thing there. I'd never seen a wrapped Disney monorail, I suppose as long as they continue to keep putting thought into their wraps... I guess I really prefer Disney rides to stay ad-free.

This new wrap looks great! I wish they weren't replacing the red monorail, though...that is my favorite color scheme for the monorails (and the color for the Park 1 figure).

I think DLR actually had the first wrapped monorail for the Nemo update to 20K Leagues Under the Sea.

OK after seeing the video I have to say that I am a much bigger fan of the TRONorail.
