so you guys really think the price will go down then? i kept thinking if it was an exclusive release then they'd get harder to find and even more expensive.
I do hope the price goes down, since I will not pay $40.00 to $50.00 for one for sure.

I love the design, love the tin, love the Vinyl. Hate the $50+ eBay prices lol. Will pass for now.

Does anyone know if this will be available at the Disneyland Employee Store? Thanks.
I wouldn't necessarily say it's price gauging. It's supply and demand. It's expected that when demand is high, the
Price will be high. Until more supply is released, the market will bear a certain price. If Disney's smart they'd produce a lot of these little guys because everyone really likes them!

Yeah! She's been available for the past two or so months for only $6 at the Times Square DS. I bought one yesterday for $4.50 with the 25% discount!
I'm not sure how long the promotion will be going on. I know in the store as of yesterday all we had left were around 10 ML tins with no covers. The vinyls inside were intact in the foil.

Are these limited or something? Or is it safe to say they will be continuously in stock or maybe even available in another place in the future?
I guess I will just go ahead and wait it out for this little guy, my patience is low though, I want him in my little hands now! I wanna play with him.
And as for the other little topic that sprouted up, I understand supply and demand, but I just don't follow by it personally. I got my Woody vinyl for free from dmr.com so when it came time for me to "sell" him I gave him with another vinyl for free. I didn't spend money on it so why make a fellow collector spend money on it? same goes for paying $15 for a vinyl and charging $75 for it. balls to supply and demand! there's NO NEED for the crazy prices if you didn't pay that for it. vinyls weren't created so that people could get rich off em, it was for the enjoyment of collecting so spread the love, don't hog it and make people go broke getting it.

This is one I would like to get. What is the retail on this?
It does sound ridiculous selling a $14.95 Vinylmation for $40-50...but isn't that what people do with chasers, variants, and LE's because they are more "rare"? The reason Director Mickey is selling for so much is because it's only available to cast members at the Burbank Store, and not knowing how long they will be available makes them "rare" at the moment.
I'd love to get Director Mickey for $14.95, but there are a lot of others that I'd love to buy for $14.95 as well.
I think the argument against that though is that chasers and variants are rarer where as this one is just limited. People (albeit cast members) just walk in, pick one up and post it up on eBay for $50 where as variants are hard to get hold of as there's only one per 10 case or so.
Personally, I'm not surprised its going for this much. Its the basic of suply and demand.
I think in general, these are always going to be pricer items simply because they are resricted to a single store and cast members only, so while they are going for probably too much at the moment, I'm expecting to pay around $20/$25 for one as most items in their tins generally cost a little more..
