Why is this Rome one so hard to get, let alone buy on the bay?

There doesn't seem to be many vinylmation collectors in Italy by the look of it... saw one on ebay but they wanted $200 for it... it would be cheaper for me to fly to Rome and buy one then get one from him...though maybe if i go and buy 20 and flog them at $100 a pop, I can get a free holiday to Rome lol

Was in Rome about 2 years ago and was roaming the streets one day to take in the sites and saw all these Disney Store bags that people were carrying around, but I couldn't find the Disney Store. Instead I ran into a Harry Potter signing of the Phelps twins. That was the coolest day ever, except I didn't find the Disney Store.

my friend was just there a few days ago they sold out as of may 31 2012

Sold out? Wonder if they will be restocked or if they are really gone. We love this one, but don't want to pay the eBay price!!

edit: Wow, some have sold for $299. And, many from HK have sold for really cheap

I like this guy, a little too glossy for me and the fact that I'm not willing to pay crazy shipping/customs prices.. I will enjoy from afar!

I have a work friend going to rome in a couple of weeks, so i've asked them to pop in to pick me up 1 when they are on holiday (with a nice sheet of paper with the address of the store/pictures of the vinyl)... so i should be able to update as if they are still available... i do hope they are as the ebay prices are silly... if its anything like the recent london/dublin/paris ones, they do sell out but get restocked randonly.

I had 2 sets of friends go recently 1 of my friends was there 6/5 and 6/6 and he checked both days and none in sight. My other friend was in Italy for 3 weeks and he called almost daily for the 3 weeks he was there and on the very last day he decided to pop in and check and he was able to get me the last few they had!!!! Very lucky!!!

Are these really that hard to get? About 2 months ago my friend was in Rome and was able to grab 2 of these for me...Really nice vinyls
