Is there any update when this is being released? I see on the homepage that its April 6th but here we are on Easter and I don't see anything anywhere, so just wondering if anyone has any insight? Also, does anyone know where it will be released? I won't be at WDW until October so it is SO far away and it will be long gone by then, unless they get pushed back until then.

I don't think it has been released yet. I am almost certain if it had been released we would have seen a ton of ebay listings for it at this point. Maleficent is a very popular character (as we have seen from the Villains 9" series).

Yup. And there weren't any at D-Street today. I did wonder where the April 6th date came from as I don't recall ever having seen it on the Vinylmation Events section of their site.

I think it's completely ridiculous that they would only release this set at WDW! These characters are NOT exclusive to WDW if anything they are exclusive to Disneyland (Sleeping Beauty Castle...hello people!) I could understand if this was a series dedicated to a WDW attraction, similar to the 3" that have been released for California Adventure but this is an Animation 2 set! Hopefully it will be released at both D-Streets on both coasts but if not someone is going to get a VERY strongly worded letter from yours truly...just saying!

Another vinyl that I want desperately and will never get. This is part of animation 2, correct? So why the heck is it only available at WDW when you can buy animation 2 as Disney stores?!

Yes animation 2...on the back of the box it looks like a 9 inch Humphrey bear with a 3 inch. There is also rhino from bolt, roger rabbit, and another 9 inch I can't quite make out yet.

It seems like it may have been released at WDW D-Street for the signing tonight. I'm guessing they'll get a DLR release date soon. Maybe they are trying to get a signing event scheduled for the west coast, also?

im going to be really mad if this will only be at WDW...esp since sleeping beauty's castle is at dland. i was really disappointed to see the walrus in stead of prince philip

A new set from the Animation 2 series is being released on April 20 at D Street, at the Downtown Disney West Side. Designed by Casey Jones, this set contains one 9-inch figure plus one Vinylmation, Jr. figures. The set has an edition size of 1,200 and a retail of $74.95.

I hope its released at Disneyland too

Since we're not sure on the status of this coming to DLR D-Street or not, I went ahead and got it from Disneystore.com. I used promo code L211101E6MKZH05 to get 20% off (same as I would have gotten with my annual pass), and then added two SW Jrs to get free shipping.

im pretty sure it wont be released at dland. i highly recommend you get it online before it sells out. thats where i got it and im very happy with the purchase

The more I see the pictures for this vinyl, the more it is growing on me. I'm tempted to get one, but am going to still pass. I would only really consider purchasing this set if the price drops because unfortunately even with 20% discount, it's still too much.

Ha, I just bought the Star War characters and am about to buy a 25th anniversary light up tray. I wish money grew on trees or else I totally would. =)
