Wow, with those prices, those two are going to be around forever. Good for us, I guess.

Sounds like the Contemporary combo will also be WDW Exclusive from the Disney website and not a DLR release. Looks like I'll have to wait for it to end up online...

Looks like the mixed up the prices... or maybe they just decided that because they sold so many of the ELP Dragon at $80 they'd go ahead and see how many people will pay $90 for the pepto bismol castle.

WOW! I can't believe they are charging $89.95 for this 9"...that is crazy!!!! Plus the edition size is 2000, ha! Luckily, I'm not loving the design so happy I'll be saving my money. I'm sure for those who want it, the price will definitely drop like all the other 9" that aren't bought.

Considering they've been listed as the opposite for a few weeks now ($90 for the LE 2,000 9/3, $55 for the LE 1,000 Castle Cake), it's likely just a typo.

No. The Park Series is not sold in Disney Stores. Which is why it's the Park Series.

I do want the 25th Castle Cake...but I just feel like its a little, dull? I dunno, it just looks very plain and like its missing tons of detail. It should have more depth. Show the line of the brick work or something. It almost looks like a plain pink vinyl covered with some stickers. Maybe its better in person.

Hopefully it wont be to hard to eventually get, because I will not over pay for it.

I was contemplating making the contemporary my first 9 inch vinyl...but 90 BUCKS?!?!?!

I'm not gonna lie but I was thinking of getting it just for monorail brown/gold whatever it is, to keep my monorail collection going. Despite not having Red or Green at this point, but that is just pure insanity!

$90 for the Contemporary/Monorail combo?! Seriously Disney? Absolutely ridiculous.

Both of these vinyls are incredibly lacking. The new mold is supposed to PROMOTE more detail, right? These two look very cartoony and lackluster in my opinion, I was expecting a lot more from the Contemporary 9" when I first heard about it. And the Pepto-Bismol 25th Castle is just... bad. It doesn't even look like a castle, just a pink blob with some minimal detail.

Yeah the contemporary does look cartoony now that I think about it. Which I'm okay with, but I have to ask what is with the black and white stripes on the arms?

Then when I look at the 25th Castle Cake one...well let's compare.

There's NO detail WHAT SO EVER. It's filled with icing and candy, yet the vinyl seems bland and boring and doesn't even look like a castle cake. I have to agree and I was one who was willing to go with the new mold and I haven't had any complaints till now, but if it were to add more detail to them, THIS does not do that at all.

Completely agree with you. Both 9" are lacking in creativity. Very sad.

I believe it's some sort of artistic attempt to get the horizontal lines on the Contemporary into the design, but it comes off looking like the sleeves of a prison garment or something, lol.

The angle of this pic shows the lines on the sides of the resort that the arms are supposed to look like, but in the end it came out very odd.

    Unknown park series 9"?

Just checked through recent threads, and didn't see anything referring to these pieces. A recent Mouseplanet interview with Steven Miller shows a different view of a previously posted picture, which can be found on this page -> http://www.mouseplanet.com/9995/New_...ews_of_the_Day. The thread that Sledge had here -> http://vinylnation.net/forums/showth...-quot-Revealed shows the 25th castle, Contemporary, and animation poster, but in front of them were two other 9" that I hadn't seen before. The second photo in their post shows what looks to be a 9" Yeti based on the decor from Expedition Everest. It also shows one that seems to possibly be for DCA? Since it mentions Buena Vista and Hollywood Tower on the ear. But the graphic looks a bit more like a stylized temple in the mountains, so I'm not sure. Have these been posted/discussed before and I just can't find it?

The first one might be the first time we've seen a real image of this one! I could be wrong, but that could be the last 9" that we're missing from Park 8. There's a discussion here and a pic of it on the back of one of the other Park 8 9" boxes

The second one you mention is releasing on June 15 at DCA only. It's for Buena Vista street and being discussed here

Yeah, thats pretty much what I thought the second would be. Saw the 3" talk on the main page, assumed that was the second half of that thread as well.

Thanks for the confirmation on the Yeti one as being in the current series, so just pending a release date then.

If they would drop the Contemporary one to 50-60 I'd totally buy it. I'd like to have a little monorail display around the Contemporary 9" but yeah, this price is a bummer. How long do I have to wait for this and ELP to drop? ;)

The Yeti 9" design looks pretty fantastic- great detail, and relates to the Himalayan art that's a focal point of the Everest experience.

Well according to Facebook it looks like the 9" Yeti will be an online exclusive. It will be released June 29th and will retail for $74.95

Looks like I'll wait and get this during the end of the year twice upon a sale

Contemporary and Yeti are still available. I'm not really sure what they expected with these prices.
