I won't be able to make it to this one either... but these ballrooms are often booked for weddings, etc.. so I can only imagine trade nights have to avoid all US holidays...

Maybe I can just find a way to move to FL for like 6 weeks...

We will be down for the end of the first weekend(barely), and all of the second weekend leaving the Friday of the third . Dang that's a lot of weekends lol.

Hi I have family who would like to go to the event... Don'y know anything about how these events work, like what kind of time i need to turn up etc. Also can you buy stuff or is it just trade? I really like the idea of getting things signed by the artist, are the lines usually big? Sorry for so many questions

Timing depends on whether or not you want table space. I generally don't, so I tend to show up at the official start time (sometimes drastically later). If you want guaranteed table space, be prepared to queue for as much an hour to several hours in advance.

As far as buying, there will be a small section where Disney will sell current vinyls and pins, but no selling is permitted by guests. The events are trade-only in that respect, and Disney strictly polices the room.

Artist signing lines are usually pretty quick, and even when they're long, you can pass the time watching all the action around you. The benefit of trade night signings is that a lot of people won't want to walk away from their trading, so you should be able to clear the line quicker than if it were a dedicated signing event.

Hi, this may sound daft but I've never been to a trading event, or in fact actually traded vinyls full stop, I've only ever bought them.

So if no money is exchanged in full or in part how do you trade with someone when the figure you want is pretty rare? do you just show which figures you have and they decide if they want to trade? do people trade several figures for one? or do people only trade like for like, so tin for another tin, chaser for chaser etc..?

It's all up to you and the person you are trying to trade with. Making deals for things you want is all a part of the experience. The examples you listed are many of the potential senarios.

Usually if you see something someone has that is rare they may ask for multiples of things you have. You are under no obligation to trade with that person, nor are they with you. Since you cannot add money to your trades while at a trade night the only way to make the trade equal would technically be giving multiples. Unless the other trader is willing to be generous which will also happen too .

When going to a trade night always know the value of the vinyls you have in hand for you own safety. There are people out there who will try and trade you less desirables for your more valuable ones. This is definitely rare cases, but always make sure you know the value of the vinyl you are trading with someone .

Sorry another question, I feel like such a noob lol, can you trade other items for vinyls? I have a couple of exclusive DisneyParis items, do you think traders would be interested? or is it frowned upon?

It all depends on the person you're trying to trade with. Some will, some won't.

Adding to what what Allotes said. Yes, some people will trade some won't. Some people will also trade pins for vinyls and visa versa . So there is a chance someone will trade you a vinyl for what you mentioned . Basically just go in to it with an open mind and have fun .
