WDW Advice for a family pickup

Hi, I am after a little bit of info/advice.

My sister-in-law is heading out to WDW at the end of March on holiday (plus a detour to Miami for Wrestlemania!)
And I am thinking about asking her to pick me up some vinyls while she is out there. Not a huge amount due to space restrictions (so 9"'s are out) but a good $60-$80's worth of 3"'s

Now she has no clue about Vinylmation's at all.

First up, Obviously D-Street in Downtown Disney is a easy place to guide her to.
But what about at the actual park's, ie Magic Kingdom as I want the pick up to be as easy as possible for her, is there a store or two in main street that havel lots of vinylmation ie like harringtons in DLP
or are they just generally available in most shops.

Also my next question, is what to pick up, ideally I want her to pick up things that aren't too easy for me to get hold of.

Ie. America on Parade triple pack, Horse & Carriage set, park 8 topper, things like that.

Also is there any tin vinyls available in the park that a tourist can buy as I know toad and orange bird are AP only. Other wise i might just have to point her to things like park 8 blind boxes.

I don't think there is anything new out around that time, but you never know.

Thanks for looking (& hopefully advising)

Firstly JEALOUS, wrestle mania and Disney!!!

We haven't been to WDW since June last year but I'd say that pretty much most of the shops in all 4 of the parks had vinyls.
Obviously if your sister has no clue about vinyls, sending her to D-Street at DTD is the safest bet, but I don't really think she will struggle getting them anywhere.

As for what to get I think you are on the right track with things we are unlikely to get here, America on parade, park 8 combo topper, horse and carriage set, also maybe the Rescuers double pack and if you are into NFL, they would be good ones to get as I really don't see them making it over the water to us.

I'm not sure about tins, but you are correct on orange bird and toad being AP exculsives, I know they did have a tin exclusive to vacation club holders too.

Hope she has an amazing trip and picks you out some great vinyls.

I'm sorry I bit you... and pulled your hair... and punched you in the face...

In MK, the main vinyl stores are Emporioum and the cinema on Main Street, Merchants of Venus in Tomorrowland, and Frontier Traders in Frontierland. None of them will have a full lineup of everything that's available, though. Case in point, on Saturday, only Frontier Traders had Park 8.

Of the in-park vinyl stores, in terms of stock and the potential for "one-stop shopping," I'd recommend Villains in Vogue in Studios. They usually have a good mix of just about everything that's currently available.

The America on Parade set is online-only, so she'd need to order that for delivery. The Horse and Carriage should still be at D-Street. Tapestry of Nations and Kitchen Kabaret are both available at D-Street and at Epcot, and things like the Billiards set, the Sushi set, Black and White, etc are all still floating around (granted, those would be hard on luggage).

There are no current park tins beyond the APs. The DVC is long gone. Now, there are vinyls in the stage boxes - Valentines is still around, and you might see some of the Marathon vinyls here and there. Epcot also still has Food and Wines available.

Of course, $60-80 is only five to seven vinyls, depending on price point, so I probably answered with too much info.

Thanks for the info, a bummer on that america on parade set as that was one I really liked.
I'm not sold on the tapestry or kitchen sets as they don't mean anything to me.
The horse & carriage set looks a good option.
I forgot about the animation 2 sets. I like the big bad wolf set.

The main thing is to make it as easy as possible for her, especially if she doesn't visit downtown.

    Are park 8 bloxes $10 or $12 + tax ?

The Three Little Pigs/Big Bad Wolf set isn't out yet, but I'm pretty sure The Rescuers is still available at D-Street. Most of the LEs or sets are only available in D-Street, so I'd very much encourage her to visit DTD.

$12.95 plus tax, so the total is $13.80 each. (Unless she's buying from AK or the AK Lodge; the taxes are higher there).

Really? I've never noticed... what's the story behind that?

Orange County sales tax (where most of WDW is situated) is 6.5%, but parts of AK, AK Lodge, and I'm pretty sure Wide World of Sports are in Osceola County. They're thus stuck with the 7% sales tax. It's not a huge difference, but still.

Thanks for the info, thinking that the park 7 horse & carriage set and the 80's park 8 topper sets are the best way to go for her, throw in a park 8 blox or 2 as well and I think that should be about right.
