I am still trying to understand how this whole reputation thing works! So when you click on the little star in someone's post does that mean your giving them some of your points, meaning you lose some of yours for them?

from how i understand it when you click on the star to thank someone you give them point for their rep and none are taken away from you, you just give more points to someone based on how many rep bars you have say Slewdge gives someone thanks his are worth i think 20 rep points where as a newbies would be way less so no i am almost 100% possitive that you don't give away your points when you thank someone, cause no one would be thanking anyone if that was the case

Yup, that's the way I understand it as well.

My question is... does it count as "double rep points" if I Thank someone and click on the star and give reputation that way?

i would think it would be the same, but that's a good question maybe one of the moderates could help on this one

That is a good question! I always forget about the rep button since I'm always using the "thank you" option. And then whenever I decide to change things up, it says I've given out too much rep for the day. Oh well- the rep star and me have our differences, but we'll be okay

I'm not sure what to tell you. I've been trying to find an answer, but no luck. It's obviously not 50 that gives you a new ranks, but I have no clue when it will change. Just know you earn them at the same level as everyone else, so keep an eye on it and let me know at which point it does change. That should help out a lot in figuring the numbers out.

Not sure if you are still trying to figure out at what numbers you get more Reputation boxes. But I am at 86 points and still 1 box.

Here I was this whole time thinking the green boxes represented the users trader rating. Just trying to learn everything. Great staff here with wonderful threads/explanations!

It is at 100 until you get your first light green bar. Then it is 200.

Woah, I did not know this...hopefully nobody has used that on me...I wonder. I thoroughly enjoy this site, but any weak individual who doesnt agree with your assessment of a series can call a badge on you. I hope there is someone moderating that can place a fair decision on these...lol

Your little green boxes grow with the more thanks you get on your posts. I think a lot of people think it has to do with trading and feedback.

I think you might be confused. The user rep bar is a fun thing. The more people who thank your post the bigger your green bars grow.
