A man who allegedly attacked workers at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim -- a scene that was caught on tape and posted on the Internet -- was arrested on charges of battery and assault, authorities said.

Glenn Horlacher, 53, appeared to attack indiscriminately and fought with at least one security guard in the Saturday scuffle, said Sgt. Bob Dunn of the Anaheim Police Department.

Police were called about 3:30 p.m. to assist security personnel at the theme park, Dunn said. When they arrived "several guests were holding down the man," he said.

Horlacher was booked at the Anaheim police station and later released on a citation, he said.

One security guard was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries, Dunn said.

It was unclear what triggered the incident, but Dunn said it appeared to be between the security guard and the suspect. He added that at no time were guests at the park believed to have been in any particular danger.

Disney officials could not immediately be reached for comment.

Holy cow! This is nuts! I can't imagine any reason what so ever that would justify in a person's mind to attack a Disney worker. Really sad, but just goes to show that some people aren't too tightly wrapped. Thanks for sharing - I hadn't seen this elsewhere. If there is any follow-up, please do post! I'd definitely be curious to hear if his motive is ever published!

Ok in all seriousness - found a link to a four minute video someone shot on their iPhone as it was happening. It's really good, clear quality. It happened outside The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Given that the guy making the scene is in front of the FastPass entrance specifically, I have to wonder if that's what perhaps triggered things - a really stupid reason to phyiscally attack a security guard, but still.

I watched the whole thing, and unless I missed something, there is one swear word at end, but that's all that I heard. Overall not offenssive language content, but very offensive in the sense that the guy was out of his mind and attacked an older man who was Disneyland security!

I know. Her heart was definitely in the right place, and I agree with *everything* she screams - but even I have to admit hearing her shout "THERE ARE KIDS HERE" over and over kind of made me want to pepperspray MYSELF in the eyes towards the end. Seriuously though the dude is off his rocker.

I kind of agree. I think she *could* have possibly helped the situation if she didn't scream at him in such a grating tone.

I hope the other guys at least got FastPasses to Tower of Terror for their efforts!

Is it wrong that I laughed a couple times? Especially when he went on his 2nd outburst when he is wiping off the pepper spray and the security guy gives him another round because he was not sitting down.

Not wrong at all. I've watched it twice already and busted up laughing when he tried to get up and got sent right back down. This shows you that Disney works are trained for any type of combat.

Gotta say though - I'm a bit shocked that DLR security carries pepperspray. I wonder if that's the same for WDW? For some reason I don't think it is? hmmm..

Wow, crazy video. I can only imagine what cause his anger. Reminds me of the fights with the guest and bus driver last year at WDW. Just proves their are crazy people everywhere.

I wonder who he was with you’d think they would try and help him move on somewhere else, then again the lady who keeps talking is annoying I would go crazy to if I had to listen to her all day if they were together. Didn’t realise they carried pepper spray too.

Pepper spray is a pretty common non-lethal defense. Most other forms are regulated in California. Seeing as Disney ranks pretty low on security pay scales, I can't see them springing for licensing necessary other forms of defense for each security guard.

Would you rather have had them lead you right into a pile of crazy? Clearly they were trying to fix an issue, I don't think they needed more people coming in the area, considering many of those who were already there were being incredibly obnoxious.

Seriously, if people are trying to get a situation under control, yelling and taunting whomever is causing the issue isn't going to do anything but make you look like a donkey.

I know, right? I couldn't help but laugh when she said "Get on the ground, you're in Disneyland!" It just didn't seem like a compelling reason.

That's totally what struck me about it too. I mean, I'm glad that people ended up helping the CM who got in a full out brawl with the guy, but it's not like anyone was helping situation by taunting and laughing at the guy. Sure it's a ridiculous situation, but if you feel compelled to laugh or comment on it, it should probably be out of earshot so that it makes it easier on the cast members who are trying to control the situation.
