What game should I get next?

So I got a $50 gift card for my birthday and wanted to get a new game. It's been awhile since I've gotten a game for myself (usually get games for the kids). I love zombies and scary games and shooters and stuff but I'm just a bit out of the loop on current games. I have a 360 and a Wiii.

So tell me what is awesome! What do all you gamers out there think I should get? Fire away!!!

Batman arkham city and assassins creed revelations are both great, and there's always modern warfare 3 (even though its pretty much modern warfare 2 with new maps).

I don't play games, personally, but my husband loves them and I second Hawkeye's suggestion of Batman: Arkham City from what I've heard my husband say about it.

Awesome suggestions everyone, thanks! So here's where I'm at... I already have the first Batman Game (either Arkham City or Arkham Asylum) and haven't even played through the first level. It's awesome, don't get me wrong, but I figure if I haven't finished that one yet I can probably wait until I do to get the first one.

We got 2 Disney games for the kids for Christmas that are awesome! We got Disneyland Adventures for Kinect and Disney Universe which are both great games, but I'm ready for a "ME" game. Something more adult.

Has anyone played COD: Black Ops? I've read that it's one of the best COD games and that it has a Zombie Level that is a lot of fun.

COD is fun at first but then gets old. The zombie level is like a wave style match and gets to the point where it's too frustrating to play. I personally love the Halo and Gears of War games. If you want zombies though there's a new Resident Evil game coming out in march that I would wait for. It's the first one that's going to be a shooter style and it looks absolutely amazing! I think it's called operation raccoon city or something like that. Definitely google it and check it out!

I wouldn't recommend MW3 either though..In my opinion it should have been called Modern Warfare 2.5 I was really disappointed since I love the other MW games.

Your basing it off the multiplayer, did you play the story at all? its the exact same thing halo 1-3 was, a few tweeks here and there to the multiplayer but a continuation of the story, the multiplayer is still really fun, just because its similar dosnt make it bad, if it aint broke dont fix it! the story of MW3 was actually really good, and a fitting end to the modern warfare series

Not to mention they wrote them self in a corner here, its MODERN warfare, not future or past, they can only do so much with "new" guns, they have to keep it to todays standards

I actually don't really play the multiplayer unless I'm in a private match with friends. I joined the MW bandwagon late and I find it impossible to play multiplayer. I'm not in college any more, have a job and a life so I can't sit in front of my Xbox all day like a lot of the people I seem to get stuck playing with and it takes the fun out of it when you're getting your butt kicked by a 12 year old who has no life but the game I wasn't impressed by the campaign though, but I really wasn't expecting to be blown away by it in the first place. I guess I like alien wars and parasitic creatures emerging from the center of the planet more than realistic wars!

All biasness aside, skyrim is great. Forza 4 is a great racing game. Modern warfare 3 to play with friends, also if you played the others it continues the story. Final fantasy XIII-2 comes out in like 10 days, if you played the other. Saints row 3 looks fun for gta style free roam fun. And metal gear solid collection and other hds coming out to catch up on old games.

Great suggestions and input everyone! I actually looked at some of the trailers and reviews for Skyrim yesterday and it looks incredible! Never been a HUGE RPG gamer though. The other thing that is REALLY important to me is the main campaign of the game. Sounds like I'm in the same boat as a lot of you on here in that I only really get to play when my kids are down and it's late at night. So I'm not a big Xbox LIVE guy that loves to do multi-player so that aspect of the game isn't super important. I do get together with some friends every other month or so to play so it's still cool if it's awesome... but not the major selling point.

ACR would be my suggestion to anyone. The story mode is very immersive and the multiplayer is awesome.
