Lando is a classic character. Could others have been made? Sure, but none as iconic or important within the story. There are no wrong answers about other characters, but there are also no right ones.

Since we're piling on though, I was holding out hope for a dark horse chaser of Lobot, but I'd never have included him over Lando.

It seems Vinylmation is not a fan of Dark Horse Designs

I said the same thing about Sweetums when the Muppets was being bandied about. Don't give the designers to much credit when it comes to who would be done in what size.

9" Rizzo and 3" Sweetums indeed.

I do agree with Phylers though. Lando is an important character to the story and needed to be made. Hopefully Neuin Nunb will join him when they get around to series 3. That may make him a bit more desirable.

Actually Han in Carbonite could've been a really cool variant!

Well, I just hope Leia is the chaser and the variant is her as a slave when they do the ROTJ series.

I'd take Lando over Leia any day. She's my personal least favorite of the series.

This has probably been brought up already but all Star Wars Vinyls should be Original Mold! There a MILLIONS of star wars toys so why not keep these unique with "Mickey." Not blob with Mickey ears...

Because they are no longer using the Original Mold. Simple as that.

obviously depending on who you speak to, as is the case here... personally i like all the characters and designs, however my girlfriend is one who dislikes lando, possibly from pulling three in one day...

Well I'm after a Lando, and a fair few others... But I think I'll be putting an order in Disney Paris mail order rather than trading, to give me that slim change of getting an obi.

Got 5 already, 7 (or 8) more to go.

good luck djini... it is so much fun opening the blind boxes slowly waiting to see what we pull. i simply need yoda and the chaser to complete my set. other than lando, i have been lucky not to pull duplicates. when my girlfriend pulled boba fett, we were boarding the train at disneyland. she let out a very loud scream, which had half of our cart looking, smiling, and asking questions about who we pulled. we also pulled vader on the train.

    Thanks J!

I'm reluctantly bidding via ebay on a 'regular' Obi now, but refuse to pay over £30 for it. I've been outbid every time, but the gap now is getting to the point where a £30 Obi and a £100 Ghost are possibilities.

What I should do is just wait and use the trading on here once I hit 50 posts, but I think everyone knows what it's like when you want to get a collection

Until I get a chaser, I can't see myself buying any more of the set, just in case I can't finish it.

Poor Lando, I think it's like others have said, the other characters seem to be infinitely more popular and well-liked than Lando. I think it's a shame really because he's really great, I love all the characters. He was my first Star Wars Series 1 vinyl, I went to my local Disney Store (Times Sq) and saw him in the trading box!!!! I was very excited as you can tell, so I really do treasure him.

I think its because of a lot of people who aren't star wars nerds don't even know who he is. I love star wars, grew up on it and will always love it, but I feel like there is no "want" for a character people dont know.

Lando is all over the trading boxes at DL. I am starting to think I should start an army of Lando's to rival my husband's stormtrooper army. LOL! I always feel for the underdog. We have about 4 of him because I am on a blox quest for ghost obi.

I got my first two SW Vinylmation boxes ever at WDW last Feb, and was pretty disappointed when i pulled a Lando in my first box. Thankfully, i pulled a reg. obi in my second box. Pulling the regular obi prompted me to buy 2 more boxes (vader and yoda), lol.

I think Lando is the least liked because he seems the most plain in design. Even the Leia and Chewie Vinyls have more detail IMO. Saw tons of Landos in the trade box when i was at WDW.

    Can't wait for series 3!

In terms of screen time, Lando is a relatively minor character in the movies. Of the characters in SW1 series he is probably the most minor. Also, I don't think the design on the vinyl is all that great. IMO, if you add these up thats why he isn't that popular.

I always thought VM Lando got a bad rap because he was the most minor character out of the series. Not saying he was minor in the movies, but he was the least recognizable to the casual collectors/park visitor. I thought the design was executed well. I actually didn't like how yoda turned out.
