Variant cases are supposedly 1 out 4-5 cases... but there are still many differances in the amount of variants... here are some examples...

Animation 1 (real Boy Pinocchio) if you find a case with the variant Pinocchio both Pinocchio's in the case are the variants...
Animation 1 (Pink Elephants) there is only 1 variant in each variant case... Clear pink is the most common, then Solid Dark Pink Variant, Clear Purple Elephant, And then Solid light Pink is the hardest to find
Cutesters too (Yellow Candy & Purple Bubbles) if you get a variant case you only get 1 variant and 1 regular...
Cutesters too (Green Candy Apple) if you get a variant case you only get 1 variant... this is considered a Super Chaser is only in like 1 out of 8 or 10 cases
Urban 6 Variants - if you get a variant case you only get 1 variant and 1 regular...
Urban 7 Varaints - if your case is a varaint case, you get 2 of the varaints, but NO regular Vinyls...

    that's just a few examples...

This sort of information is gleaned from the great threads on this forum.

Every time there is a new release, members are really good about reporting what they got in their trays and whether they got any variants.

With that and looking at prices on ebay, it becomes pretty obvious how rare certain variants are and how many you find in a tray lucky enough to get any!

    Rarity of variants??

    Hey there,

While I don't buy nearly as much as I used to I recently purchased an animation #2 on a whim (I know, that's one expensive whim) and both of my fantasia Donalds were the variant version, so I received no regular one.

When I stopped collecting seriously I had never even heard of 2 variants in 1 case. Have variants become much more commonplace? Did I just get really lucky? I just want to know in regards to future releases really.

I was also curious about variants. For instance..they are coming out with a pink octopus variant from the Starz series but the series is already sold out. How does one get the new variant? Thank you for your help.

Another heads up on multiple variants in a case, my Girlfriend and I purchased the Urban 9 and got two naked sheep!! lol It's a GREAT variant, but I never got my real sheep.

Also anyone know if the regular sheep is popular in the blind trading boxes in WDW resort? I need one but I'm afraid to buy one beacuse I may trade for one when I go in September.

Personally, for about $10 I would buy one now and be assured of the full set.

You may be lucky and pick one up out of the trade boxes but the odds are not that great for that one specific vinyl.

I would think that lots of people would want to keep the sheep (as it is quite cute) so there may not be that many being traded anywy.
