No problem - if we go ahead with a group purchase we can estimate pricing and get money prepaid - seems to be the way most group purchases are done these days. We will wait and see what you find out once 18th November rolls around and the vinyls appear on the Japanese website.

Its only four weeks away but they had V2 up for two weeks now so hopefully they'll post the prices soon! And fingers crossed they'll actually sell them online!

Thanks for the replies. It's just that I refuse to buy on Ebay and pay Ebay and Paypal fees. Also setting up just a Paypal account would allow me to easily purchase too many items over my self imposed budget.

I understand your feelings toward ebay and paypal fees but, at the end of the day, sending money any which way is a service that has a fee attached somehow to either the person sending the money or receiving it - whether it be paypal, money order, credit card payment, bank transfer whatever. Paypal fees of 2.9% and 30c is at the cheap end of the scale which is why it is the most commonly used.

If we do end up doing a group purchase and you want to participate, the only way to transfer funds will be paypal ($US) or emailing me a credit card number ($NZ - as I have a business that is credit card authorised) - otherwise it just gets too difficult.

Anyone thinking of buying the Daruma vinyl on eBay needs to watch out for a Hong Kong scrapper selling one of these at the moment - comes with no tin so is clearly a factory defect - don't buy from DREAMCAB

I'm debating on the zodiac set. The mettalic coloring is putting me off but I love the idea! I wish I knew someone in Japan that could get it for me. Hitting a shopping service may become expensive.

I love that used some of the under-appreciated characters for the zodiac set, like Chicken Little. I hope they eventually release them here. I really like the metallic paint.

This set does really look cool, and I like the Daruma now that I know what it is I don't think I'll be getting any because of the price after shipping and all, but they're pretty cool

The likelihood is that they won't ever be released in the US - they are listed as a Japan exclusive and that is exactly what it says.

The Pirate Mickey Japan exclusive has been available in Japan for about 6 months and has not come to the US, so one has to assume it will be the same in this case - shame thou it is!

Super cool - yes - but this particular listing is a scrapper out of a Hong Kong factory so I would not touch it.

It will mean that this vinyl will appear at some stage so I can't wait to get hold of a legitimate one!

Absolutely - you just got my hopes up when I first saw the listing as the vinyl looks so good - I then looked at the description and realised it was a scrapper and my heart sank!

I like the Mushu Vinyl rom what I can see of the blurry picture. Looks like the scene where Mushu is holding up the family guardian's head. Clever design

Yep, we can add this to the Daruma Doll Vinyl and the Zodiac set. I had a look and they are not online yet but I expect they'll go up end of next week or a little after that.

Going by what happened with the Pirate Tin, they will be available online (only shipped to Japanese addresses) and at the Tokyo Disneystore - they won't be at Tokyo Disneyland itself.

So I see it mentioned that these will be available at the Tokyo Disneystore. Is that the only store it will be available at? Does anyone know if they will be availabe at the Yokohama Disneystore? I am going to Japan in early January and would love to get my hands on these.
