Anyone done the behind the scenes tour at Magic Kingdom? Where they take you to the first floor of Disney? We did it two years ago and found it to be really interesting. You know that little dip you take in the Pirates ride? Its actually the first floor.

Yes, keys to the Kingdom is what we took. It was $60 per person and you have a CM take you around Magic Kingdom. They also take you behind and show you the floats and how garbage is removed without guest seeing it. You go on a few rides like Haunted Manison and Pirates. They end it by taking you underground (which is actually the first floor) and you can see some of the characters with there mask off, you have to be over 16 years old for that reason to take the tour. Whats also cool, the names on the windows on Main Street were names Walt and his brother used to buy up land in Florida. Walts name is on one of the last shops facing the castle, they suspect he choose that so he can see the people leaving, but thats just what the CM told us.

I did a tour of Disneyland during the 50th anniversary. It was called a Walk in Walt's Footsteps. It was so awesome! We actually were allowed to go into Club 33 (only the entryway but still totally awesome!) I would love to take this tour at WDW. Thanks for posting the information about the tour.

Wow, this sounds fantastic! This is definitely going on my to-do list. ;) I didn't even know this existed! I need to find out more about these tours I seem to be missing all over the place.

sounds awesome my dad and me have always been fascinated by the underground or first floor of disney will have to do the tour with him sometime.

We did the Keys to the Kingdom Tour on our recent visit. It takes about 5 hours and is a lot of fun, very interesting stuff to see, especially going "underground." I would highly recommend it to people who have been to the park a number of times. It's a great way to see the park in a whole new light.
