Disney Animators Collection - Princess Toddler Dolls

[Story]

I don't know much about these but I'm completely in love with them already As if the Princess Designer Line wasn't enough

This collection features the princesses as toddlers. It was entirely designed by Glen Keane and Mark Henn. Glen Keane was Supervising Animator for Ariel and Aladdin as well as being an Executive Producer for Tangled. Mark Henn was also a Supervising Animator for Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan and Tiana so they know their princesses. Unlike the adult line where some of the facial sculpts can resemble Barbie, these are highly individualized molds. Each doll comes with a small cloth companion such as baby Meeko or baby Rajah. The outfits are very shiny except for Pocahontas, whose clothing is more leather-like. Best of all for the amount of detail and quality, they are kept at the standard Disney Store toddler doll price of 24.50. They’re expected to be available after October 24th when all the dolls in the Designer Collection have been released.

I really love all of them, but I think Rapunzel will be my main must have! Here's hoping they won't be too limited!

Those were my sentiments exactly- the "Oh no" but happy smiley nonetheless! I totally agree with you about Rapunzel and Belle too- I think out of all the dolls they are my absolutely favorites I'm hoping these will be available for a good while after they come out

These are not for me, but I love Belle and Rapunzel! Pocahontas is beautiful too, but her skintone is way off (too light).

They ought to put Glen in charge of product development at DS! I have no doubt we would get great stuff on a regular basis. A girl can dream, anyhow.

I absolutely love these! I keep trying to choose my favorites but I really can't decide. So I gave the job to my three year old. She has chosen Snow White. So I guess I'll be buying Snow White... But I really want Rapunzel and Belle too.

... And Pocahontas.

These are so cute. I have never been one for toddler dolls but I think I might have to get the Cinderella. She looks just like my niece. And I will have to get the Ariel for her.

I'm so excited to see so many adults wanting these dolls! They are a huge hit every holiday season, and this year Disney Store really focused on making product with all 10 princesses! Usually 3 or 4 get left out. Last year the toddler dolls flew off othe shelves, especially Black Friday (when they are usually one of the super awesome deal prices). Stores have already begun to receive them in their shipment, so expect to see them on the shelves soon with an upcoming floor set.

I love these! I came across them earlier in the year but I couldn't find a release date. All I ever found was Fall. I will probably try and collect as many as I can, but for sure Tiana, Mulan and how could you resist that little Snow White? yikes!

These dolls will be making their appearance in the next couple of weeks! I've seen a couple of them in person and they are SO ADORABLE!! The back of the box has a little paragraph about the animator who designed them (either Glenn Keane or Mark Henn). According to something I read, these dolls will also be sold at Disneyland and Disneyworld starting October 10th.

They aren't limited edition, but I would still call them limited because they are ONLY available at Christmas-time and they sell very quick (especially black friday). Last year my store sold out before Christmas and never got any more back in. Lots of angry phone calls. So I suggest getting them early! These are going to sell even better because not only are they much cuter, they are designed by Disney animators which makes them so much more special and collectible. I would have never considered any previous toddler dolls to be collectible, just girls toys. As for the height, they are pretty big...around 15-17".

Fantastic! I was hoping for that! I have a feeling that they will do very well. Any word on Disney animators designing more merchandise?

And for anyone interested in these dolls, stores got word today that they can be put out for sale as they receive them in shipment, so you may find a few styles at your local store today! My store has Cinderella, Mulan and Snow White already.
