Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort

Who else is excited for Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort?

It has become my favorite time of year to visit Disneyland. I love the pumpkins they carve at Big Thunder Ranch and the way Main Street is decorated. Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy are both brilliant overlays to already incredible attractions.

We have gone to Mickey's Halloween Party every year since 2006 and I can't believe how much more fun it was last year when it was moved to Disneyland from California Adventure. Halloween Screams has quickly become my favorite fireworks show.

I think I am going to have to dig up some of my photos and videos from past Halloween trips to Disneyland.

Please share what you think about Halloween at Disneyland.

I'm ashamed to say that in the 25+ years I've lived in So Cal that I have never been to Disneyland during Halloween or even Christmas time. That will all change this year since we got APs this year. I can't wait to see what it's all about.

Are you going to go to Mickey's Halloween Party? It is a little expensive but the experience it worth it to me. Usually just our kids dress up and I wear my Jack Skellington Baseball Jersey but we are all dressing up this year. It is going to be a blast. I might even make it a point to watch the Costume Party Cavalcade this year. After seeing the Boo to You Parade at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party it has been a big let down in past years. I am hoping they are making some improvements.

I think so but I'll need to do more research on it. I don't know much about it. I know my wife wanted to bring the kids all dressed up to Disneyland for Halloween. We just need to figure out the details and what day we could go.

This year will be my second Halloween Party and my first with it being at Disneyland! I am so pumped! I love Halloween and especially love DLR during this time. I cannot wait.

It is so much more fun at Disneyland. The crowds still seem pretty small but you get the awesome fireworks!

It is ridiculous but last year at Disneyland my family of four brought home over 26 pounds of candy. We used it all to give away on Halloween and still ended up throwing out a lot.

Does anyone know if Disneyland has any Halloween/fall specific food selections during this time of the year? I ask because Busch Gardens and Sea World both offer pumpkin cheesecake. Just wondering if the Disneyland resort did anything along the same lines?

It seems like there are some holiday themed desserts but I can't remember anything specific. I'll check next weekend.

This is the first HalloweenTime in four years that I won't be going to Disneyland. Kinda sad, but I will be back by Christmas! My favorite part of HalloweenTime is Ghost Galaxy just because its a nice change and pretty cool.

Generally, there are holiday themed baked goods and desserts at the parks at most of the eateries.

We did the party a couple of years back at California Adventure, was not all that thrilling, but we are going back this year at Disneyland and hopefully it will be better!! We are very excited.

That is good to hear. We are going the weekend before Halloween so hopefully the crowds will still be small. Hubby and I don't do a lot of candy.. We usually run to the rides while all the kids are getting their candy. I am looking forward to the parade, fireworks, and villains running around though.

I found a really cool site that talked about the different treats available: http://www.magicaldayswiththemouse.c...ween-mugs.html. They mention a couple of great sweets.

See you there. My entire family will be there on the 30th also. There are loads of places to take pictures. There are also several villains out during regular park hours.

    Have fun!

I almost got the Donald Halloween mug/dessert last time I was there but we never went back for it. Now I have something to look forward to on my next trip. MMMMM!

That's a great site! I love the Leota popcorn box. Also not to change the subject from Halloween but in a photo on that site I happened to see that there's a cart that serves frozen apple juice. Has anyone had this? It sounds tasty.

We don't usually buy the mugs but we always buy the Halloween popcorn buckets. We have way too many popcorn buckets too.

One week from tonight I will be at Mickey's Halloween Party. I can't wait to see it this year. I see that they are having a Pirate-a-palooza at the Ranco Del Zocalo. Since both my older boys are dressing up as pirates they should fit right in.

I am taking an easy way out. I am going to be Sorcerer Mickey. We are still trying to figure out what my wife is going as. Our kids are Blackbeard, Jack Sparrow, and Mickey Mouse.

I was looking through some more of my pictures from past Halloweens at Disneyland and came across a few more that have me excited for this weekend.

Halloween Season is by FAR my favorite time to go to Disneyland! The decorations, the rides, EVERYTHING is awesome. Some people say it's better during Christmas but I disagree. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be able to go this year with the family!!!

Oh jealous! I will be there at the end of October (right before Halloween). I cannot wait to see the Pirate-a-palooza. I love Goofy and that Mexican restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat. I don't think we are going to dress up though. We are driving all day to get to the party so I don't want to wear my Cinderella costume in the car. You will have to post pictures of you and your family!
