I'm glad to see the events page confirm that they are open edition. I sorta expected a higher price for these guys, but as long as I have some time to save for them, then I'm okay May is already such an expensive month for me!

What does open edition mean?

It means that they will be restocked repeatedly. They aren't a limited edition with a certain number of vinyls, and they aren't a limited release meaning that disney plans on an end to the availability of the series. Doesn't mean it won't ever retire, but there is no plan to do so, so long as the set is consistent and keeps selling

I know these are being released at Hollywood Studios on May 18th but I wondered if they were ever going to be available on ds.com?

I know the actual Star Wars series can only be sold at the parks but am not sure if this is the same?

I'm glad that these are open edition, I'll be down around Disneyland for Memorial Day weekend so hopefully the 1st wave of these are still available by then, I would love to be able to use my annual pass holder discount on these.

These will be available at Dstreet, which is located at Downtown Disneyland.

While we never know for certain, with these being Open Edition they should be around for the second weekend. I wouldn't be shocked if they are gone before the end of the day and restocked, the next morning, though (read: I suggest getting them early rather than waiting until it is time to leave the park). I also wouldn't be shocked if they run out before the end of the last weekend and have to wait for them to be resupplied.

I like Mickey and Minnie best. I would get them before any of the others. Stitch is cute too, as are the others of course.

I think the general consensus is that these will only ever be available at the parks due to the agreement between George Lucas and Disney - they will not be online (except for ebay!).

These are probably only going to be available at the parks just like the 1st Star Wars Series, but you will probably be able to order them through mail order by calling the mail merchandise phone number, because that's how I was able to get my tray of Star Wars, but I don't know if they offer international shipping.

They will definitely be at Hollywood Studios at WDW - not sure about the other parks.

Picked up 2 sets this afternoon at DLR D-street. There was a shelf dedicated for each vinyl at the front of the store. These are not in the parks yet to purchase.
