I was looking forward to the color bars figure after seeing the hat, but I don't like that the head is mostly white. Probably pass on all of these

Curlicues will go great with the B&W set. Milk & OJ will be next to my milk & cookies set. I can't wait for these to come out.

I actually like the Monster and King Tut set, and I rarely give in to buying 9". Which one to buy is the problem now...

Surprisingly I like the King Tut set though I don't know if I want to dish out $75 for it. Do we have any idea if it's going to be an online exclusive? If not I'll be able to get a discount at the parks but I still don't know if I want it that much. I just remember being amused upon first seeing it. If only I had the least bit of drawing talent, then I would make a custom Steve Martin to go along side of it. Born in Arizona, moved to Babylonia, King Tut!

I like the King Tut combo mainly cause I like anything to do with Ancient Egypt, but I'm not sure about the price tag though haha, maybe if they are still on shelves after Christmas, I'll get it.

The blog posted that the Tut, Color bars and Monster sets will release at both D-Streets Oct 28th

We recently mentioned that Park #7 release date was moved to October 28. There will be three additional 9-inch figures from Urban #7 released on that day as well at the D-Street locations in Florida and California.

    Edition Size: 1,500 / Retail: $74.95

We asked Casey Jones what inspired his Egyptian set.

"I'm a big fan of 'Lost' and archaeology so this set was my nod to both of those interests," Casey responded.

We must say that after seeing this set we are hoping he will follow up with one based on the Phoenicians. We would be thankful for that!

    Edition Size: 1,000 / Retail: $39.95

Thomas Scott designed the 9-inch figure pictured above. He explained the artwork had been created a long time ago.

"I used art from an older project to create the 9-inch figure that looks like color bars found in a television studio," explained Thomas. "This figure actually compliments the Disney Ear Hat with 3-inch figure we released a few months ago. We like offering a variety of designs, sometimes they are more complex and other times more simplistic. The 9-inch canvas gives us more room to experiment and try different things. The goal is to create a good balance of designs."

We asked Thomas if this figure will be used on a forthcoming Vinylmation Television Network. He laughed (as did we as there are no plans for such a network ... but wouldn't it be awesome?!).

The final 9-inch figure we are releasing on October 28 is one designed by Maria Clapsis.

    Edition Size: 800 / Retail: $39.95

    So adorable!!

I don't think so. Looking at the event page of the blog, they don't give any special notice that D street will be opening earlier, and if I'm not mistaken I think they usually announce early openings there along with the release dates.

I didn't, but I saw them all at D-Street this afternoon.

As can probably be expected, the excitement all seemed focused on Park 7. Come to think of it, I don't actually recall seeing anyone picking up any of these while I was there.

The King Tut set looks pretty neat in person, though.

    Hi!

I am counting the days until Milk & OJ are released. I really like this set. I just received my Chocolate Milk and Cookies hatbox set, and plan to display them all together. I am re-arranging my Vinylmation display on the granite countertop in my kitchen area to make room. I like how Vinylmations are being released with food themes. I have also gotten the Popcorn and Candy Apple 3" VMs. They look cute together. Maybe I will eventually group all the food themes together. I didn't get the Condiment set, but I like it, and got the ketchup and mustard VM pins so they can go in a kitchen display, too. I think Milk & OJ will be the best ones out of the whole group! I am glad that Disney is continuing to produce new themes that I like! Have a great day!
