This looks like a great game to play during peak times of the day to stay out of the long lines and still have some fun.

I can definitely see us getting these each time we go in to MK on our next trip .

They scan your pass so you can only get one "pack" per pass per day. Mind you, I'm totally planning to pop in MK every time I'm on property now.

I'll add scans later in the day, but I got cards #1-5.

But we'll have 3 passes between us. Will they do 3 different packs for one family in one day? We're going to be down for 12 days staying at Bay Lake Towers for the first 7 I think we're going to be popping in to MK a lot more then we thought now .

They try to do it as 1 pack per group, so if I were you, I'd send JT in alone to get a pack, then you go in alone to get a pack, and then maybe later try it with CrazyJr's pass with you...

Also, when I went in, they asked me if I had my cards from my previous attempt and if I wanted to start all over. Looking at the screen, She could see just how many steps I had completed prior to leaving last Sunday. There was no problem with giving me additional cards, but it might be interesting if we all go and attempt to collect all of the cards without ever fully playing it through

I am really looking forward to trying this (and collecting the cards) when we go at the end of March.

Since we are going to be there for 6 weeks, and will probably visit MK about once a week, I should end up with LOTS of cards. We have 4 passes between us but am not sure I can convince hubby to go get a set of cards each visit!

BTW, are any of the cards 'rarer' than others or is it completely random, which cards you get?

We had no problems yesterday, but apparently you can't "play together" or something. My Mom got a pack, too, and her starting location was different from mine. Granted, there's nothing I can see on the individual cards that should prevent you from doing each mission with all of your combined "spells."

BTW, are any of the cards 'rarer' than others or is it completely random, which cards you get?

Though I don't know if the numbers bear it out yet, star cards are listed as rare, moon cards as uncommon, and planet cards as common.

Oh my goodness this sounds awesome! I have never been to WDW so when I was reading about this on the blog I didn't understand it at all. Thanks for thoroughly explaining it guys because now I HAVE TO GO! But I also really really want to collect all the cards.

Yup - Totally random... Though it seems a lot of the sets we've gotten have been mostly in numerical order. When you go to sign up, they swipe your park ticket and hand you a cute little folded packet containing a map, your 5 spell cards, and your key card.

I'll add that I got cards 1-5, my Mom 11-15, and she went to the same kiosk right after I had been whisked to the game tutorial booth. So while our numbers were near each other, 6-10 were apparently somewhere else.

I know they're keeping it all moving, but holy smokes were those kind of ... intense CMs. I couldn't stand still for twenty seconds before being shuffled to the next station. (At that station, incidentally, an older CM saw my Wine and Dine race shirt and asked me if I was a Cast Member. Um, look at me lady. I do not fit the image rules, and you of all people should know that ).

I'm a failure. I should have my Disney fan license taken away. I was there yesterday and didn't know anything about this until I got home (Well, I did see a couple standing in front of a talking window so I kinda thought something was up...but wasn't sure what)



I will be for sure getting some of those cards when I go on Leap Day

Now I wonder if you'll be able to get two packs that day since it'll be open for two days.... Doubt it, but I can always hope

Agreed. Even if we're lucky enough to all get different assortments each time we check in, at 5-card packs, you'd need to check in once per day at least 14 times. Splitting it up with multiple passes can increase your odds, but it still doesn't account for how many doubles you'll get hunting for that one last rare card.

Then the dang things will start to hit eBay.
